That's pretty bad. I can't see how one could mistake the two, unless the typer/writer is still learning to read and spell, which I highly doubt if they are writing a fanfic.
You don't read much fanfic, do you? A LOT of it appears to be written by dyslexic monkeys with typewriters and a list of canon names in my fandoms, and that goes for the plot as well as the quality of the writing.
