well, start off by watching some i guess- then after youre done go here http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ and read just about everything- it all helps.

We've started a sticky about getting started. We're adding info to it as we get it and you can ask any questions you have in there as well.
The best way to get started is to watch what others have already made and get a feel for what you like and don't like.

I like this, it's pretty cool, and I've always been a big fan of anime anyway.
