o__o i do believe it was the first manga i read in book form.. everything before that was scanlations................
i could be wrong, but i can't remember anything past that. x3
i think the first manga i bought was Rave Master.. xD

jeeze Im feeling as old as my manga collection, my first manga TP was way back when "Appleseed" when it was originally published by Eclipse comics each chapter was a TP, follwed by a close second "Silent Mobius" published by Viz in individual chapters as well. With Silent Mobius Viz had "colourized" it painting colours over a grainy black and white scan. In both cases they were about the size of two american comics but were square bound so they count as TP as far as Im concerned. Even before that I bought the first printing of Ranma 1/2 "In colour" by viz (again). Ah the heady days of paying $6-8 canadian for a mere 16-20pages of poor quality, grainy manga. Boy am I glad things are so much better today

Ooh, my first was Peach Girl. Gosh, that was awhile ago~ Anyway, Peach Girl was my first manga in general. And now I have the whole series in English, the Art Book from TP, and book 18 from Japan. My first 8 books are pretty crappy though. I want the new ones whee I don't want to spend $80 for something I already have though.
Gravitaion,Fushigi Yuki:The Mysterious Play, SAmurai Deeper Kyo I just love those book but i'v almost collected all of the books. i'll never abandon those books that i had ever sense i new about them. 3nodding

My first Tokyopop manga was Gravitation, it was also my first manga. I remember picking it up last year in March. :'D
