A poem I wrote, and hope you like it! If you don't, I can stand criticism.

Dancing pools of memories,
rip'ling in the water
hoping more than possible,
of you.
Your face fades, like hers did...
and I am still alone.
Wishing, hoping, calling out...
to what is gone,
to what has left...

Swimming streams of memories,
sinking in the water
wishing of a time again,
when you....
Your face is in my dreams,
why am I still alone?
Wishing, hoping, calling out...
to what has gone,
to what has left...

Reflected lakes of memories,
still-standing in the water
dreaming of days long gone
with you.
Still I see you here with me,
yet I am alone.
Wishing, hoping, knowing,
that what is gone,
is gone.....

[hoping more *than* possible]

I like the pensive, introverted mood. It conveys sorrow and loss, but serenely. And the form is matching. Beautiful! It didn't exactly strike a chord in me - it might mean different things to other people. I won't ask you to explain it to me.

Thanks for pointing that out, I can't believe I missed it... and I'm glad you liked it.
