cyclonealchemist Way cute. I'm pro MisouxAoshi all the way. On the other hand, I can see why some may be against it:
1. The ten year age difference 2. Rabid fan girls want Aoshi for themselves 3. It's very similar to an older brother situation at times 4. Their personalities are very different and may clash I dunno. I like the pair. Watsuki-sensei even pairs them when all is said and done! mrgreen (This is in the final bonus chapter, Haku ni Sakura or Cherry Blossoms in the Spring.) I am, as well, a fan of the MisaoxAoshi couple. I think Misao is exactly what Aoshi needs to move on with his life and Aoshi is Misao's rock and stability. I think they're a wonderful couple, however, I can understand why others would disagree.

Your-Face55 For as long as I've read the Ruroni Kenshin Manga and watched the show and found out the existince of Misao she quickly became my favorite character and warmed my heart by her charming and humorus attitude. Then quickly after I found out her love for Aoshi. I started rooting for the couple and they quickly became my favorite parring. Now I found out there are just as many fans of the realationship as there is enemys. I wanted to know why you feel the way you do about the realationship (weither you support it or not.). I am not here to say that I don't support their relationship but it's just I have some age issues with it. I mean, how old is Misao compared to Aoshi? In my opinion the age difference is to big.

I'd have to say that Misao/Aoshi is my favorite traditional pairing. I mean, they're like each other's perfect alter ego! Opposites attract, right? As for the age difference...well, just look at Kenshin and Kaoru.

Lily-Hith-Silme I think it's cute how Misao was in love with Aoshi and I support it but you also have to think that she is only 16 (according to the anime) and Aoshi is (I believe) a good ways ahead in age. Aoshi's about 21 i think...so 5 years apart? That's not TOO bad.

She'd keep him holding on to the past, most scenes he looks at her, he's reminded of his memories of his deceased friends, when they were raising her. So, he might just love her for nostalgia's sake, in that case. It'd be subtle abuse.

So, he might just love her for nostalgia's sake, in that case. It'd be subtle abuse. I somehow don't see Aoshi as being that type of person at all. ;_; (SPOILERS AHEAD!) Anyway the anime butchered them in my opinion, compaired to the manga, they put in this weird idea that Aoshi thinks of Misao as a child and she's just trying to get him to see her as an adult. In the manga he's actually much different, he does not become a brooding gloomy guss hiding in the temple all day, he reclaims his position as the okashira and we get to see lots of awesome scenes (for AxM fans) where Aoshi is very considerate of Misao's feelings, telling her to look away when he opens Kaoru's "body", seeming upset when he hears her crying, helping her with her kunai on their way to get Kaoru back. In the end, AxM fans who have not read the manga MUST GO READ MANGA NOW =D They are so much better in the manga. I hate the simpering recluse the anime turned Aoshi into. And my opinion on age difference.. in that era parents married their daughters off to the highest bidder (well that's a little harsh, but arranged marriages WERE mostly about strengthening one's family), people get married in this day and age with a ten year gap, I don't see it being a big deal. At least she has the ability to choose who to love - I also don't think Misao is immature as much as she is bubbly, look at Okina/Jiya, who raised her, he's way worse, they're twins! X_x *Takes a breath*
