Why do we dream when our thoughts mean nothing?

Chael's white ear flicked back slightly, her head turning as she scented the wind, which made its way through the tree's, causing the forest giants to sway lightly in the breeze, but this was not what caught her attention. The females curousity got the best of her and she stood, moving into the breeze, following the scent of another. Her curiousity tended to get her in trouble, but she had to know, and that was her nature. Let trouble come as it would, she would be waiting with maw agape and teeth bared. She picked up speed and paused when she neared, the stentch of the brute filled her nostrils and she crouched slightly, slipping into some nearby bushes, watching quietly as he began to doze. She hated to disturb his sleep, but she crept forward slowly, tail straight out behind her and eyes intent. Of course she didn't know what she was getting herself into. He could attack. He could kill her. Over power her, but these thoughts were just whispers in her ears, and ignored by the blue eyed Femme.

Vera sighed and shook out her fur. She was tired of waiting around and her exasperation showed, ears back and tail lifted, her lip curled slightly.

She would be fine staying with Feros and this new pup if only she could hold anyone's attention for long. At least with Zef, she was always the center of interest and even the pup knew she liked the flattery. Shallow she may be at times but patient she was not. Vera stalked away, her crmison wing feathers puffed out in agitation.

There were new scents in the forest now, foreign ones. She couldn't place them, turning in place to find the source of them. Suddenly the wind shifted and their scents wafted right at her. Her ears flattened to her head and Vera sunk lower. One was a male and the other female, but both were uncomfortably close. They weren't moving but her nose told her they were just the other side of the bushes. She crept low into a crouch and stuck her nose under the branches of the bush to peek through the leaves at a large male.

Vera snorted and turned about. She decided to leave them be. She still hoped to find her younger sibling so the crimson she-wolf sprinted away to check other places.

Rain just waited at the tree where she was meeting Kyou, " It's taking him so long to get here. Why?" she thought looking up to the sky. THere was something shaking in the bushes. Kyou's head popped out, " Hey sorry i made you wait." he said as he nuzzled her.

Snow sat waitong for Feros to respond. " So how have you been doing ?" he smiled at him.
