IMPORTANT: Vampires are not born as such but as humans. They become one by being put on the verge of death and given the blood of a vampire.
Weaknesses
Vampires cannot go into the sunlight, nor can they get too near a bright light. They also can't touch fire, for it catches very easily and will kill them. They cannot drink the blood of the dead. That's ALL.
Around Witches
Vampires can tell a witch as well as another vampire immediately, as can witches tell vampires and other witches. For some reason, they are naturally attracted to witches and either kill them on sight or stick to them like a magnet for months to years at a time.
Around Werewolves
Vampires hate werewolves. They couldn't ever give you a reason for why the war started, but their passion for it seems embedded in their DNA. If there are none or even just a few witnesses to the meeting of a werewolf and vampire, a fight will ensue.
Physical Traits
They have chalk white skin which is cold to the touch, often have long hair which grows back after a day when cut. Also, they are very physically strong, even if they don't look it. And of course there are their fangs, very abnormally large canines which can be retracted to regular size when they wish.
Abilities
Like with witches, these can vary. Some can use telekinesis, some have prophecies or visions, some have pyrokinesis, some have virtually no power. All are fast and strong with enhanced senses and have some level of mind reading ability.
