Zealot of Insanity
"Suzy, Billy, and I will judge the contest." is the correct way to write the sentence. Stumper? Not really.

This is ONE of the correct ways. "Will" is a linking verb, and Suzy, Billy, and I are all subjects of the linking verb. Therefore, it's "I."

HOWEVER, the way the sentence was stated, "The contest will be judged by Billy, Suzy, and __," The linking verb is present, but Billy, Suzy, and __ are all objects of a preposition, "by."

Use "I" when:

Subject (linking verb)
-I am the winner.
Predicate Nominative
-It is I.

Use "me" when:

Object of verb
-Mary kicked me.
Object of prepostition
-The mail goes to me.

Does this clarify or confuse?
