Yep its that time of year again. The Melbourne Cup is on. And I'm going to put a few bucks on a few different ponies. xd

I come from Melbourne. I appreciate getting a day off on Cup Day (even though I don't really, because Uni's don't recognise State-level holidays, and if I was working I'd probably have a shift as well) but it really doesn't interest me in the slightest. At all.

I was going to pick the horses that came 1st, 2nd and 3rd but I didn't have enough money on me to bet on 6 horses. Damn overnight work! scream And I was going to put $5 each way too. stare

If they weren't there, my Maybe Better would have won. I can generally pick the winner from the mounting yard... and Maybe Better just looked stunning. Didn't pay attention to the Jap horses because they don't deserve to win our countrys race. Ah Maybe Better.... maybe next year eh?

I had to work melbourne cup day. We were setting up a new store, and when I was finally comming home at seven I was suprised at how very festive everybody was. it was after I saw a guy fall over because he tried to sit on a bike that was resting against a pole and all of his very well dressed mates laughed at him (the kind of laugh that you need to put your hands on your keeps otherwise you would fall over) that I rembered that it was melb cup.
