for my NaNoWriMo piece...i'm going to be sending signed copies to the people who know the character it focuses on, and I want to make the cover look nice...any suggestions on good materials that won't leave me in the red?

Are you talking about covering a book like you would for school, or making an actual hard bound book? *knows bookbinding*

I know a bit about book-binding too. When i bind books I usually do it with mat board, because it's safe for paper but still sturdy. When you think about binding the book, try to think of the theme of the book and incorporate it... There's so many fun little tircks you can do to make the book creative and unique. National Novel Writer's Month...
the challenge is to write a 50,000 word story in 30 days or less...IE: the month of November...right now, I'm at about 15 K words...
