He nodded, and took the proffered hand, following her lead. "Even the gods and their creations are not above the emotions that rule all. After all, we would be uncaring beings ruling over the living were we not gifted with such things from Chaos." He let his eyes take in the sights, remembering that there were 'evil' breeds of horse - the Nightmares. He found them somewhat fascinating, if only because they were a dark embodiment of strength and power of their kind - if he could consider himself among the races of horse as well. Physically he could pass as such, aside the wings... so it was close enough.
"The world's balance is a delicate yet beautiful thing," he observed. "The many races out there weaving their own story. There are not many kinds that can truly speak of such variety though. I am alwys interested in learning more of everything, as learning is integral to understanding."

As the corridor darkened there seemed quite a disdain of sadness from extending outward toward her. Deep in the Goddess mind she wondered after such an event if the Kelpie was truly ashamed for causing a rift amongst said few deities. Approaching the water corridor she spoke, "Severin. Come to me my child."
The kelpie swam toward them both reeking of the rot that he feasted upon. Perhaps Epona couldn't smell the death that lied in this realm or she didn't mind such a scent to turn a mortal paled and sickened by experiencing such a thing. Whatever the case she always tolerated him.
He was rather depressed these days though swimming in such luxuries she granted him. The kelpie kept his eyes downcast from hers and spoke, "My mother I be here for ye have called. What have ye be asking of me mother?" It wasn't that he was weak nor afraid for he knew she loved him like one of her own, but he knew the mistake he partook upon and there was no reversing his error.
Epona smiled to her guest, "This is Severin; the kelpie whom dominates this corridor. He is one of my own you see. But he has broken the balance and brought attention from other deities, therefore he is here till he reforms enough to be allowed back".
The kelpie looked from his Goddess to her guest not showing a sign of like or dislike but feeling a bit on the spot, "My mother if there is no need of me I like to be goin' back in me thoughts". He expressed his response nodding to them both in respect before heading to the murky depths.
Epona nodded to him then turned to her guest, "I don't take evil things lightly nor do I expect gratitude on their part. They reside the balance more then they realize" she said with a definite nod, "Its not very much to look at but the corridors of a deepened evilness are a must in maintaining the balance. Your thoughts Hyperas?"

He remained quiet as she called to the kelpie, and studied him silently, and watched him vanished again. He took in her words, mulling over them. He certainly seemed an unpleasant one, and it would be no shock for mortals to be utterly repulsed by him... but with such splendors as could be in the realm of Sardonia, it was only logical something like this too should exist.
He looked to her, evenly, when asked of his own thoughts. "Whether an act or truth, he seems penitent enough, remorseful for his actions. Even evil which oversteps too far, treads too deep should be called to judgment - meddling in the affairs of the mortals is one thing, and a necessity. For all the splendors of Sardonia, the wretches of Hemlock must be, and all that is good in the world would not be so, were it not for the reminders that the dark is there too." He bowed his head slightly. "Even that which lies in balance would not seem so, without the darkest depths. But even the gods know there are limits to what we can do. Chaos would undo all, were we to be truly foolish enough to even think to go above her, to think we more then her. As so, the mortals, the creations of the gods, are to not meddle within our affairs, and overstep their bounds."
He smiled slightly, eyes alight. "Although it is true, we may be friendly and pleasant unto all who come to us for aid or simply to revere, we are equally allowed to remind them that we are above them, as given rights by Chaos. We are light and dark in one, depending on one's reasons and actions. Even the dark can do good, and good do wrong - wrong in the true scheme of things, perhaps without realizing. The battles of the ages between good and evil, both commit wrongs on one another with justifications. But it is the balance and cycle that keeps things going. The daymare's pleasantness would not seems o sweet, were it not for the coldness of the nightmares, much as honey would not be sweet, without the sour of the lemon to remind us so."
He looked to the watery depths. "And without this creature, that which is loved and cherished in the world, would not seem so good without such a reminder of the cruel pain that can also exist, one might think."
Thoughts and words were something he loved, to dwell on how things were and to consider what could and might be, based on perceptions. Watching the mortals made one think, truly think, for they acted in ways one would not expect, take things differently, solely on their own experiences. What drove them was fascinating.

My he is quite intellectual, was the phrase that made the Goddess appreciate him even more then her beloved children. Be they sky, earth, water, darkness, light, fire, they were what remained in tact no matter what the consequence in her ability to render them life and shape. Closing her eyes momentarily the Goddess pondered the balance of the temple. Not so much the beings within but the stability of her own lifetime if Gods did indeed have such a thing. The balance in her heart was way off being so alone all these years. But honestly she didn't know about love for that was a whole different subject matter entirely. Would it be wrong of her to inquire of his knowledge perhaps?
She listened and tuned in more and more to his words like strings that plucked along a harp both fortifying and satisfying. If given time she could learn who he was more, but that would of course be asking for his company. Decisions were based on balance deep in the Goddess' mind yet this subject was both puzzling and both frustrating. As she lead him away from the depths she responded in thought.
"You have a way with words set in balance and harmony Hyperas. Words eventually mingle and become solid in my mind in perfect perfection. That is the balance I seek and crave..." she mused with an air about her as her wings extended in a slow pleasing stretch before she settled them once more. "I do have a question for you though in a subject I am neither livid or familiar with".
Leading him toward the more pleasant aspects of her temple she asked her question, "Hyperas.. I hope I am not being to naive or blunt in asking this question as it bothers me. Can you tell me your views on love and the like?" It felt odd asking one slightly lower then herself such a query and yet she wanted to hear his response in its entirety. If there was a chance he was as same minded as herself she might just push past her muddled thoughts and extend her ideas a tad further. But that lied within his answer and that should would genuinely keep her interested, to say the least.
