(thanks for the help in my other board, but I've decided to just go and buy something because I, relistically, still have no idea what to knit them and the time I have left D: )

so while I was letting my older Chinchilla run around on my bed, she got spooked by something and darted off my bed into a pile of junk (>_>;; ) and while trying to look for her in the large pile I happened to come acrost a bag I bought from hot topic about twoish years ago. I only used it for a coupleof days and then the left pocket started to rip... a few days after that ... the right side ripped out D: it ripped in two different places... one huge rip down the middle and a smallist near the seam area...

.. so how do I exactly go apon mending this? and I have to sew by hand because my old singer (<3) is like... D-E-D Dead... (and it was awsome crying I don't exactly know how old but I will say that when my grandmother bought it, it was white, and now its kind of a dullish yellow... XD)

We killed our old singer too, I reccommend taking some other fabric and sewing it on the side behind the hole then sewing the sides of the hole to the fabric.

Yea, I agree with Chaotic, I'd just basically patch it on the inside, and sew the two sides together loosely on the outside for looks. Or leave the rips open, it would probably look really cool.

If you can find fabric in the same green on the purse, you could use that for the patch material. Just sew it inside, leave the tears open do be seen through (but make sure the patch keeps things in! mad d )

... man... i've been in the writers forum too long... you wouldn't believe how hard it was to make this post look normal. i had to delete the 'i' three times and type it lowercase. mad d

Don't worry, I always use proper grammar. Though my grammar on most forums is atrocious by my standards. I consider my self above most people on forums (present company excluded, of course) simply because I spell "like" with an "i".
