i like the first one the second one was good but not that good

curse of the black pearl. it was the first of its kind, and it's kinda hard to top it. i suppose i might like dead man's chest better once at world's end comes out, but until then i still like the first movie. classic. wink

I think that they were both great, but the second one was mostly just reused jokes from the first one. They didn't make up any new material. It was still good, just not as good as the first one.

I loved the first one, it was pretty much perfect/the best thing ever. ^^ I love the second one too, and I agree it was really all over the place, and it seemed less piratey, but I think (hope) that the third one will make it come together.
The one thing that irks me about the second one is the whole cannibal island part...it was just really pointless. And some of the jokes they re-used from the first. Completely not funny.

Come for the rum and bloody awesome battles...

Wow, that's a really hard question. I think I LOVE them both equally. The first one was the original, and there is always something about the first movie in a series that is, like, classic, and can't really be beat, but the second one was awesome too, especially for a sequel. It was also funnier.
