There I walk, gun at my side;
Searching for places the enemy may hide.
I came across a man who was lying half dead;
Should I help him or put a bullet through his head?
How can I kill someone I don't even know,
Just because he is called the enemy, my foe?
So I knelt down beside him, but he was full of fear;
For in his eye forming was a glistening tear.
I told him not to worry, I was trying to help as he could see,
But he didn't understand as he grabbed my gun, shot and killed me.
