The first three poems are actually pretty old ( I believe I wrote those when I was still in middle school, seventh or eighth grade) while the last one was actually written just recently. Comments are welcome!

*Note: all of the following poems are copyright to GodessKiki so please ask for permission before using them for whatever purposes necessary*

1) Memories

Nights spent laughing and crying
Playing and fighting
Running through the woods
Chasing fireflies

Nights spent sitting under the sun
Sleeping under the moon
Laughing at the clouds
Wishing on the stars

Memories never forgotten
Hearts never returned.

2) Jokes under the rain

They tease and laugh
Thinking it’s all a game
When they’re actually pushing me to the edge

I’m about to go overboard
And sink into the dark depths
Of depression and my thoughts
Of blissful death

I can’t feel anything anymore
My decision is made
Tonight at eight
I’ll end this horrible game

I walk alone
Soaked from the rain
When it suddenly stops
And I look up
Into the face of a smiling girl
Holding an umbrella overhead

“You’re wet.”
She says
As if that explains
Her kind act

She smiles at me
And I try to smile back
And I walk in silence
As she talks to me
About everything
And anything
She’s so carefree

She tells me this joke
And I find myself laughing
A sound so foreign to me
Yet strangely relaxing

And as we stop in front of a large house
I tell her it’s my stop, the end
And she smiles a secret smile
And shakes her light blond head
And says
“No, it’s only the beginning
Of something great.”
And then she turns and walks away

And as I stand in the bathroom
Looking in the mirror
A knife at my throat
The girl comes to my head
And I’m smiling again

I put down the knife
Lay down to rest
And wonder if tomorrow
I’ll get to hear her funny jokes once again

3) The things

Sometimes I dream
Of wondrous things
Of bright, shining angels
Smiling at me

Of music
Taking a form
And dancing with me
All through the storm

Of laughter
And children
Friends growing old

Of fairytale princesses
Falling in love

Angels
Music
Friends
Love

These are the things
Deep in my heart

The things that I dream of
Deep in my sleep

These are the dreams
Deep in my heart

4) The jagged edges of pain

Like black, stormy waves
They surge and recede
Crashing against
The jaggedy shore
Of one lonely beach

Trashing against
And wearing away
The once smooth stones
Who now are deformed

The wind howls it's pity
It's sorrow, lament
For these poor individuals
Consumed by the waves

Yet no one but these two;
The wind that howls pity
The cruel, trashing waves
Will ever note a difference
In the once smooth stones
Who now are deformed
And will never be
Smooth once again

They're all fairly decent poems, but I, personally, only enjoyed reading 'Jokes Under the Rain'. The others seemed a bit, how should I put it... Bland...
