Talking to you is like committing suicide.
Because both of us know its killing me inside.
I wish I could just see you, God knows that we've tried.
But we just weren't there the last time the other cried.

Is where you grasped and pulled,
And now the blood drains out
Like a gunshot wound.

Like a deer in headlights,
I stare at my phone,
She said she'd call me tonight,
But I'm still here alone.

From the beginning
You put up such a fight
Even though you were winning
You knew it wasn't right.

This isn't quite what I had in mind.
Maybe we just need to take our time.
Take a trip away from here, and let ourselves unwind.
But nothing really matters, so long as you'll be mine.

It seems a bit depressing to me, as I normally prefer more "happy" poems. The language and meter you use seems just fine to me on a quick read-through. Good luck getting more comments.

Yes, yes, I lead a depressing life, blah, blah, blah.
My writing is purely expressive, and I'm not going to pretend to be happy because that's what people want.
