The benefits of "Txt-talk"

Maybe people use "txt-tlk" because they are too lazy to type out everything else. It could be a "quick response" format? Well, I do sometimes, that is, use "brb" or "g2g" every now and then. >___<;;

However, no doubt, acronyms ARE annoying.

to Seabutcher: Alternating cases are very annoying. That probably came from people trying to be somewhat "cool"?

My dad and step-mom think there's something wrong with me because I don't abbreviate anything.
So one time I asked them why they use "TXT TLK" and here's what I got:
1. I don't have enough time to type out all them long sophisticated words!
(My dad happens to be a red neck.)
2. I can't type worth s**t.

So...
I conclude that "txt tlk" is just plain lazy.
But I can understand if you brother is throwing shoes at you because you won't get off of the computer and you use "g2g".
(That would be me.)
