Pawsie-Incognito "1337 SPEAK" You can't understand a thing they're saying. Some examples (and no, I did not come up with these myself; I asked my friend to. XD) Quote: | /|/| T|-|3 1337 |-|/><0R Can anyone tell what they are saying? This belongs in the "TXT TLK" horror stories Subforum.

....Well then... The only thing I could read from that was "1337" which I have no idea what it means. XD

Intuicide "Hi, I'm David." "I'm the leet 'haxor.'" ("Haxor" meaning "hacker.") -edit- Upon further review, I've come to realize the first one is "Hi, I'm pimp." At first glance, it looked like "David." Cool, your bilingual.

I used to use 1337 in MMOs to talk to people with a language barrier. Also on World of Warcraft where they mixed regular letters ,but not numbers and signs. domokun

It's weird, sometimes I can intuit what people are saying in leet, based on the shape of the "word" involved. It's something akin to reading road signs and whatnot when you're nearsighted and haven't got your glasses on (don't drive without your glasses if you've told the DMV you need them).
Confession time.. My old license plate is in a sort of pseudo-leet. sweatdrop

I can barely understand. The m's look like n's so that's hard to understand too. I got the first one, but, not the second one without looking what he posted it said, then I saw it.
