The other morning I woke up to pure terror. There it sat, staring me in the face - the morning paper. And what words boomed from the headline? KIDZ KOOKING COMPETITION I thought "um, excuse me?" That's right kiddies, the results are in from the KIDZ KOOKING COMPETITION.
1. What is Kooking? 2. What editor said "YES, A Z!!! I LIKE THEY WAY YOU THINK JONES!!!"?

I'm surprised that they didn't make "competition" start with a K as well.

The MoUsY spell-checker I'm surprised that they didn't make "competition" start with a K as well. That would offend people. Only reason why they didn't do it. (Three K's? The conspiracy theorists would have a field day.) I hope it was just a typo (or, well, two typos) and yet I'm afraid what it would mean for the world if it wasn't.

Well, since it's a kid's cooking competition, they obviously wanted to make it sound weird to attract kids' attention. rolleyes

Kidz Kooking Competition? 1) Kids is really a name for baby goats and no, Mr. Old man with no friends who lives in his mothers basment, spelling words with 'z' at the end does not make your sad excuse for a life 'kool'! 2) No one will enter that damn competition because no one knows what 'Kooking' is, I'm sorry I didn't learn pethetic in school.
Sorry I'm terrible at being nice to people like this.

I guess they were trying to make it sound cool.
Curse the media! They think deliberate incorrect spelling will influence our children in a good way!

Why didn't the paper editor catch those two typos? Or was it some sort of joke among the editors, that never got fixed before it was published?

Serious~Sarcasm I bet it was all just really stupid people being 'Kool'? Well what I hate is when, people use text talk, but it does not shorten the word. I meen the whole point of text talk is for less typing, right? So, why would you put a 'K', and not a 'C'? Or for is, put 'iz' when 'is' has the same number of letters. People are bieng so lazy, that bad typing, is being replaced, or added into text talk.
