does time continue

does time continue with the other families and do they get older if you only focus on one family more often? also can sim children have sleepovers and first kiss or like crushes?

Hello.
I guess you're new to Sims 2?
Time only passes in the house that you play. All other houses become "frozen in time" so to speak until you go back and play them.
By default children can't have sleepovers, first kisses or crushes but teens can. There is a mod available at www.insimenator.net (I think) to let children have sleepovers though.
