The Worst Kind of Love

Task be big or small.

I'd sink down a whirlpool,
Through its cascading swirl.
Then crush giant clams,
Just to get you a pearl.

I'd crack open a safe,
To get you a diamond.
I'd steal an emerald,
Which to you I would send.

For this is blind love,
The worst kind of all.
If you told me to kill them,
Then I'd get them all.

The moral of this story is:
Don't fall into a blind love; it gets more and more dangerous as the other person starts to exploit you.

Your poem is great! When you talk about "Baking cookies and cleaning the pans" I thought "I do that" but it's because I LOVE to cook and bake, not because he asks me to...more than half the time he doesn't even know. smile This poem really hit home for me about my previous boyfriends....and the moral is definately 0 right! I nearly cried when I was reading this poem..please keep writing more...they are beautiful. smile
