I'm reading two books,

1st: The Bar Code Rebellion by Suzanne Weyn, which is a sequal to The Bar Code Tattoo
It's pretty much about a girl named Kayla who is about to turn 17 and (this is in the future) when you turn 17 you get bar coded by a company called Global-1 so that you don't need credit cards or paper money, i.d.s, ect. I don't want to spoil it so I'll just say that they are doing more then *just* putting things you want in there (money), and suddenly people are being declined service in hospitals, to purchase homes, ect.
Overall so far, Ok, first one was a little slow but the second one is pretty good because they tell you what they're putting in the bar codes.

2nd: The Invisible by Mats Wahl, translated by Katarina Tucker
This ones about a boy who finds himself invisible *of course*, and is following the police as they try and solve why he's missing and who did this to him *he's following them as a ghost and the descriptions of him while he's following is sort of creepy but at the same time interesting to read*
Overall so far: very good, looking forward to the movie *even though so far there is a big difference between the book and movie*

the first one sounds really really good!
kinda reminds me of.... cowboy beepbop

"cowboy beepbop"?... never heard of it...

its an anime.
about a girl that gets put in a iced sleep thinger.
and wakes up in the futuer.
where they have barcodes..
and flying stuff.
and she becomes a bounty hunter person..

Lois Duncan!!!! I though Killing Mr. Griffen was a great book *my english teacher made us tell the class when we got new books back then when I read it, so when I described it I think I freaked him out a little and thought I was giving the class ideas or something*, but the made-for-tv movie of it sucked...I also read Down A Dark Hall, but that was a werid book, I thought it'd be some kinda werid school to the point of menatl institutional pyscho principal, not the supernatural thingy it was...

i just finished a book called "Harry Sue"
it was ok...about a chick who's dad threw her out a 7 story window when she was 5, and survived, but both parents got arrested and she had to stay with her heartless granny
anyhow, she has her mind set on being a criminal and getting caught so she can go to jail and find her mother
it wasn't very good...kinda boring but i liked the writing style

Well, I just finished Notes From The Midnight Driver by Jordan Sonnenblick and loved it, and I think I'm going to read Grape Thief by Kristine L. Franklin next.

*Edit:5/17/07---I'm also reading Cyrano De Bergerac)

By the way, I love Darren Shan.

The Demonata series and the Cirque Du Freak series rock my socks off.
