the Misfits are sometimes labeled horror punk (which is s**t because its hardcore) but I guess, horror punk is an offshoot of Harcore with lyrics about zombies, ghouls, aliens, etc. They were fast and loud and everything punk should be. It was simplistic yes, but it worked and sounded good. to some at least.
