Project: My Stash Blanket
I had an idea for a project a few weeks ago that would let me use a bunch of my stash yarn that I've been wanting to get out of my stash (to make room for more, tee hee hee).
The idea is to make as many squares as possible from this yarn and sew it together in some attractive arrangement to make a blanket. This is simply a stash project, it's all about working with what I got.
What I Got:
Two skeins of purple/black Bernat Super Stripes (self patterning)
One skein of Bernat Super Stripes in pink/black
Some remnant red/black Bernat Super Stripes.
One and a half skein of black Bernat Softee Chunky yarn.
Two partially used skeins of black Red Heart Super Saver.

And it's coming along nicely! I've made 4 squares of the purple, 3 of the pink, and one of the red. I've started on squares with the black yarn.
One major challenge was gauge calculations and conversions, since I'm using three types of yarn and want to make the same size squares from them. But my husband is awesome and helped with the math. ^^
I haven't yet decided how I'll stitch them together, or how I'll arrange the squares. I like the variety of the self patterning Bernat, it's going to be neat to see how they'll look put together with the black squares.

And of course while I was taking pictures teh Garfield cat had to help out:
