Okay, here's the low down.
Video ((Footage)) Quality: Good Song Quality: Awesome Concept: Indeed amazing Editing: Lacking in effort.
I always love a good serious Trigun video but when watching yours it feels like there wasn't enough time taken to make the video. I see where you were going 100% but there are a lot of things that made this video seem ameturish. There needs to be practically flawless timing in a video to this song. I see where you tried in some of the scenes but your fades were not complete ((they start to fade out and then abruptly disapear instead of smoothly fading into the next scene.)). When using the title screen it needs to be perfectly timed or it just feels out of place. I think it would have fit better in the 1:10 mark --where the beats hit fast and loud.
You also need to be very aware of the scenes you are choosing. Most of them felt quite out of place and that they had nothing to do with the lyrics of that portion.
Reused scenes take away from the overall effect of the video -- especially when the scene is long or drawn out ((1:06-1:15 = 3:21-3:30))
Technical issues to beware of are popframes and deinterlacing. When you cut scenes you need to be sure that the cut is clean and does not have a bit of the scene before it attached ((pop frame)). It's painfully obvious in some of the scenes where you slowed the footage down. When slowing down footage you need to be sure to deinterlace or it will appear jumpy and not fluid.
I can see where you were going with this video, you just need to take more time and place a bit more effort into your videos.

I honestly hate that song mad But the concept was out of this world! When I saw the footage quality I was glad to see DVD rips and was enthusiastic about the out come. But n the end you fell WAY short of my expectations. There was no plot. I was like watching Pulp Fiction with the sound off and playing Soul Bossa Nova on full blast in the back ground. It was like sticking your "head in a fish tank and singing the lyrics to Pat Benatar's "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" backwards." I really made no sense at all. Honestly every time I see it I see so much talent that just seem to go unrealized. Honestly I would expect to spend no less than a month (after footage ripping) on a video like this; the combo is so obvious that it will no doubt prove popular, therefore your video will be in competition with so many others. I personally like the idea since Vash does use a nifty .45 Long Colt, but to do a really great job don't expect a 4 hour edit fest to suffice. All of my really great multi-award winning video have taken no less than 3 weeks. Pay more attention to the lyrics and try to create a cohesive plot based there-on. You could create a masterpiece if you just spent more time planning. If you need help finding beta testers (and hosting) to give you tips BEFORE release PM me and I will hook you up with a few folks who will give you honest answers and provide helpful advise to assist you in editing you next video. Beta testing is the best way to ensure a really great fan-pleasing video.
