Narcotic Poetry (C&C appreciated)

[Jezebelle the Cannibal]

White
The needle and spoon leap over the sun,
A syringe from the haystack,
Impossibilities are realized.
This white place,
A monochrome universe,
Utopia of grey,
Is more than it seems.
Lines are clearer, more defined,
Drowning in dust,
Veins are visible and beautiful in blue.
I feel it behind me,
Closer, breathing down my neck,
Locusts in butterfly guise,
Wolves in lambskin condoms,
Minor violins screech the 'Jaws' theme.
There's a corset of nerves,
Shaping and straightening, electric strings,
Hollow bones for illusory flight.
Perfect when I'm hidden,
I'll stay here as long as I can.
I'm getting used to it...
The world in white.


Morphine
Flesh to clay,
Malleable blood twists.
A searing pain,
An intoxication of shape,
Bones curl in rapture.
Skin folds over skin,
Remade and rediscovered,
Reinvented, barely human.
Addicted to the change,
Distorted and disillusioned,
Morphed by morphine,
A nocturnal butterfly crawls from the damp,
Hungry for breath.
