ok, so i cant make good subject headings
and this was totally ignored in the music forum.
but i think everyone should know about this festival!

no I am not Danish or Swedish or Norwegian
so if you are, please don't spout Danish/Swedish/Norwegian at me
I won't understand!

but I do have an obsession with Scandinavia
and also with music.
Scandinavia + music = the Roskilde Festival
logical right??

The Roskilde Festival is an annual music festival held in Roskilde, Denmark. Most people who have attended so far are Scandinavians, but the festival has since become international. The festival lasts roughly one week and takes place in the first week of July, although the dates can change. Ah, enough history, I'll tell you which bands are playing this year, to give you a better idea of what goes on there.

The Roskilde Festival presents a great opportunity (to me, at least) to bathe in a spectacular musical and humanist atmosphere. And I would just like to share my knowledge of the existence of this festival with those of you who also like music. I hope you decide to come sometime in your life

More info:

Tickets last year cost 255 US dollars.

Bring your own tent or buy a silver-domed one along with your festival pass (don't know the price; too lazy to convert from kroner to dollar, hehe). Oh yea, if you buy a tent, you get hot showers.

Bring your own food to cook or buy food every day from the vendors.

Visit the official website.

Discuss

Are you coming?
Do you like music festivals?
Does this music festival sound good?
Scandinavia and music.

ah yes, did I mention that there is a naked race? pirate

Even the naked race.

I would like to LIVE at that festival. However, I will do it when I'm older.
