The period/exclamation relationship is strained, so to be fair, they just stuck both in there.

You have a great eye! I never would have caught that. The only time there should be two sentence ending punctuation is when a question mark is followed by an exclamation point.

I have noticed a number of very minor grammatical errors in Gaia Announcements over the years; I always took a private glee in the fact that even the people in charge would publicly make grammatical goofs.

Yes, it is a private, almost instinctive, little hobby of mine to find such errors in anything I read. I never actively look for them, but if I come across one I know it immediately. Errors, no matter how small, just stand out. It is actually kind of fun coming across these mistakes. No less fun, anyways, than the fact I also enjoy picking out goofs and mistakes in movies. pirate
