My 3 Expansion Packs Don't Work

Not that long ago, my expansion packs: Open for Business, Pets, && Nightlife stopped working. They just messed up my game completely. Now, when I try to install them, they all stop at 31% and say there was an error.
Now, my regular Sims 2 game runs fine, it's just the ex. packs.
Help please? It's too late to take them back, && I'm afraid to buy new ones for the same thing might happen.

Edit: I got Nightlife to work.
I cleaned the disk && had my dad do some work. I'm not exactly sure what he did, but it works really well now. I have yet to install the other two.

Had you added any new programs to your computer around that time?

It was a file transfer error.
TSData/Res/Sound/Voice1.Package
It said a problem occurred when trying to transfer that to the media.

&& I don't think I added any new programs.

I don't really know what to suggest as I've never personally encountered this problem.
Try locating the file on the disc yourself.
Put the disc in and hold down the shift key to stop the autorun function. After about 15 seconds you should be ok.
Go into My Computer and then right-click on the Sims disc icon. You should be able to select Explore or Browse, something like that. That should let you go and look at all the files on the CD.
