I hardly know this person (just barely from school, and she doesn't knw I go to the same school as her. I come across as really harsh, but it's only because this same person keeps asking me for help...

If someone is going to ask for help or advice they need to at least learn to spell and do things the proper way. Its the best way to really get anything accomplished.

*laughs* I know your pain all too well. I have a good friend who just refuses to take the time to even make basic grammatical/spelling errors.

Hmm, wait, that's several friends and the majority of my family.... stressed

I'm sorry, but when someone asks for help and can't spell properly, I'm more inclined to not help them. Communicating properly will move you farther along in this world...An amazing concept, no?

I actually feel sorry for the person. No one ever bothered to teach them how to use please and ask politely, and then they don't know how to spell either. I think you came off as a little harsh, but you did say this person had been bothering you. I think it is mostly a lack of manners. When I want something and I am speaking to someone I don't know, regardless of how I usually talk to my friends, I show them respect.

I hope that you can find a more gentle way to suggest that they do this in the future. I think more people would be inclined to do the right thing if they felt something good would come out of it. And we want more good spelling and grammar from everyone.

I'm surprised you could tell what they were trying to type.

Yep.

@Luxx Aeternam: Yeah, I know, I'm surprised, too. I guess I just have practice.

People see my avatar and say that I'm rich just because I have monthly collectibles (I was wearing seven at one point).

It's happened before, often with people I've never even seen and/or heard of before, and they tend not to use basic grammar or punctuation.

And yes, such people do end up on my ignore list.

Rutoh-Chan, I do realize I came off as a little harsh, but, as you and I both said, she has been bothering me for a while, and, at first, I tried to be helpful, but she began to get on my last nerve. Mhm.

Has anyone else noticed that the people new to gaia are mostly the ones that spell poorly?
