Perfect IV's are Over Rated...

Why do people care so much about having perfect IV's in a pokemon? What people offer for for trade for 31 IV's is way too much.

Do the math. At Lv 100, IV's can only effect a stat by +/- 15 points. Perfect EV training, on the other hand, can effect a stat by up to +63 points in a particular stat. What's better, natures and characteristics can effect a stat buy as much as -50 or +100 points at Lv 100.

Anyway, there's my rant. I hope I can level out the trading market a little bit.

Anyways IVs can mess you up a lot. My Chomp only runs at 301 and not 333 which matters a lot, you can outrun a max'd out Modest Starmie and a DD'd T-Tar

I'd say speed is the most important stat for a sweeper. I try to get my pokemons' speed perfect. Unless it's a Trick Roomer/avalancher/priority mover. Then I make it as crappy as possible (or just neglect it).

Cuz for a moment I got confused cuz I thought you were saying" It doubles power if you hit your opponent first"

Yeah, if the user gets hit first. Meaning it has no priority but is better when second.

Shigeru, those moves do make a pokemon move second. I have a toxicroak with revenge (same effect as avalanche). It's pretty fast, but always moves second with revenge.

I think perfect IV's are worth it cuz even a little extra boost is helpful in a battle.

yeah, i've nevr breeded for ivs before, and judging by these statistics its not worth it unless you're way to into the game then is healthy...
well i will breed for perfect ivs for someone else, if they are willing to give up some tms....that would be the price i would charge, but i wouldn't pay anything for somone to breed for me.
