Peragus II The Mining Colony
Peragus II refers to a planet rich in fuel; which appeared in the game Knights of the Old Republic II. First attempts of the planet being mined for the precious fuel the miners did not know that the fuel would react violently to standard lasers and half the planet blew off as a result, due to half of the planet drifting into space a small asteroid field was created. The result was half of the planet gone. The explosion rendered the planet inhabitable, as it now has a similar surface with Venus. It was being mined for fuel, but a HK unit tampered which caused a series of events leading to the droids and some miners to turn on the rest of the miners and kill them all. the HK unit which in fact was a hired assassin droid was trying to protect the Jedi Exile (who was his bounty he intended on collecting) by killing those who conspired to kill the Jedi Exile. The destruction of Peragus II meant that many planets suffered the loss of this cheap fuel, especially Telos which was being reconstructed after being decimated during the Jedi Civil War by the Sith and had a space station hovering over the planet to manage this, without the fuel the space station would drift into the planet and cause another planet-destroying
