Which is the best Metroid game?

I didn't see another thread for this, might have missed it. I'm not a member of this guild, so please don't be harsh sweatdrop

I like Metroid Prime 3: Corruption best. I've played Metroid, Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime Hunters, MP3, and Super Metroid, and I enjoy Metroid Prime 3 the most. It takes great advantage of the Wii controls, it has amazing graphics, and is really addicting.

As much as I enjoy corruption I still have to say Super Metroid is the best. It's quite possibly the best game ever. I got it the day it came out on the Wii shop channel.

I'm sorry, but Super Metroid introduced things that to this day are standard in the series and won't go away. (like beam stacking and powerbombs!)

That's a really hard question.

I love the 'Prime' series.

And I love 'Zero Mission'. It was the first Metroid game I ever owned.

Super Metroid wil always be a legend. Metroid: Zero Mission came the closest to Super Metroid. I'll choose Metroid: Zero Mission.

You know, a few weeks ago I would've said Super Metroid, but today I'd say Metroid II. I just finished it a few days ago and I was amazed at how beautiful it was.

Yet to buy a Wii for Corruption and it's dented my Metroid fanism I've had my whole life ><;;..but my thoughts on the best are as follows and have'nt changed since I was alot younger >>>

Super Metroid I always thought could be said to be the best, and it was xD.
I know many fans say it too, but I also have to say that Prime 1..was absolutely awesome to the series in every way Metroid needed it to be. And with those I haven't played Corruption yet..and won't know anything till I do b/c I hate spoilers, but I here it's awesome too =o.

So...I stand on Super Metroid being the best one, but Prime coming very close. I'm like a 15 year Metroid veteran (gotta love Super Metroid xD )

Super Metroid by a long shot, I liked Metroid Prime. I'm still waiting for metroid prime 3 from the catalogue (ARghh!!)

I had so many memories from Super Metroid it was the only Super nes game I remember with such a cool Manual, man it was huge!!
one of my favourite games of all time let alone favourite metroid.

Personally it's Zero Mission. a return to the original game and how the game was supposed to be in the first place!!! you want to get the varia suit early, go ahead and get it..... sequence breaking is AWSOME!!!!!

Super Metroid is one of my all time favorite games. i love all the metroid games, but Super Metroid is just a classic. it gives me a reason to pull out my SNES from time to time.
