Bio: Despite being small for her species, Chiku'hawa can be quite a handful when dealing with because of her animated temperament. Whether it be by throwing a barrage of questions at her company or shoving incessant comments about nothing in particular, her mouth is always moving, much like herself. In addition to her apparent penchant for conversation, she is also prone to wanderlust, and travels about anywhere she can do so freely and without worries.
She has a hard time building strong, lasting relationships, though she does enjoy company and socializing. If she were to spot a nonthreatening stranger, she would immediately latch onto them for a duration of the day, informing them of her particularly insightful experiences (or rather, sometimes boring them with her tedious rambles) until she ran out of breath. She isn't one of the brighter ones, but she does manage to hit some potentially thoughtful, deep moments occasionally.
When alone, which she is given to be most of the time, Chiku'hawa can sometimes be seen talking to herself out of habit. She sees her almost obsessive need to talk as something normal and possibly even good, rather than out of the ordinary. She simply cannot reason that any of her chatter can get her into trouble, and is a victim of naiveté.
History: Retaining the foggiest memories of her past childhood and life, Chiku'hawa cannot even remember her parents' names or faces. From time to time, she wonders what it would be like to have parents, but generally prefers not talking about it. Her youth life was frequently changing in terms of those who took care of her--usually those she got to take care of her while she was a cub were nearby cheetahs taking a pity on the lonely female until she drove them away with her tendency for incessant banter.
Upon reaching her late juvenile-early adolescence, she had learned all the tricks and skills necessary to become fully independent, living on small prey opposed to larger ones she could not risk to take on. Though she remained solitary for the most part until reaching adulthood, she always found something to talk about if she happened to cross paths with a stranger willing to listen... until they had heard enough, that is. It is in her later years that Chiku'hawa would learn to appreciate silent idleness, and though her habit for chattering may never come to an end, she definitely became more mellow than how she was as a cub.

Bio: There is nothing special about Mikaili, being the fifth born out of six sisters and the medium blend of both of her parents. Her aptitude to handle all five other sisters (some dysfunctional) while growing up is notable, and says a great deal about the amount of patience she possesses. Humble and meek in character, she may be the last lioness noticed in a crowd, but once her kindness is known, she may become a most memorable loyal companion, offering her advice, ears, and understanding without a second's hesitation.
She may not be the most aware of some situations, but she does have a good bit of sense to her, though she is too quiet at times to have her opinions accounted for. Though she is a very innocent female, she would rarely fall into the hands of manipulation despite her constantly supportive temperament.
Ideals include putting her family before most other things in life, affection for loved ones, and kindness.
History: Born into a family at what some may call a time when both parents weren't ready for such a large responsibility, Mikaili was as welcomed to it as much as her other sisters were, with the exception of a favorite, who was praised more warmly than the rest. The members, despite some personality quirks, at first got along well enough and led a content life in the jungle, where they were born.
Soon enough, the family found a new home in the Ushirkino Watembezaji, and Mikaili thrived peacefully within the much safer and pleasant confines of the pride, although the family was a bit more absent to the actual members, tradition, and happenings within the heart of it. However, things may have gotten a little too monotonous within the family, as trouble struck when her long lost uncle who bore a resemblance to Tarajia returned; Tarajia fled, followed by Ohahira, who was intent on destroying the runaway family member, followed by Nyumbani, whose mission was to console the situation. Mikaili was left with her favorite albeit hard to deal with sister Senna, Swa, and her parents, and things were as normal as they could get with the three sisters gone.
Soon enough, though, there wasn't enough drama for Senna to stick around, and, despite Mikaili's warnings, her closest confidant took off. With Senna's departure came Nyumbani's arrival, along with her own cubs she apparently took on along the way, which wasn't the only surprise--not long after that, Mikaili found herself in the company of three young brothers to herself in addition to the three nephews from Nyumbani. Things started up again as the attention the young cubs needed filled what was left of her family's time, though Mikaili still hoped that Senna would come back soon and well.
Change seemed to come in multiple parts at once to Mikaili, for her best friend and sister did come back, and with company of her own blood. While she regained her sister, she also moved to her mother's old pride, the Mtaishi'miele, and things went back to clockwork as usual. Upon joining, she was content with immersing herself in the new pride's culture, tradition, and environment, and found peace in remaining with her family in the relatively calm scenery.

Bio: Some, or most, find Nkosi to be quite intimidating at first encounter; in the proceeding encounters, they might find him to be quite more so. There is an air of kingliness around the wild dog, and his walk and talk holds no restraint in its almost arrogant swagger. There are few if any he considers to be on his level, though he is always on the lookout for those worthy of his presence. Though he deems his kind to be superior to all other breeds, he would never dare mess around or hurt without cause, as he knows he is above shallow skirmishes.
Nkosi notes those he sees as being weak, and disregards them entirely. He does not worship or believe in any gods, but instead, believes in self-efficiency without supernatural help. He claims the gods and goddesses that show themselves in the forms of lions are simply ghosts--physical shells of lions who have passed away, but still bound to the world because of a past error. Thus, he pays no attention that there are those more powerful than himself, believing that he has the potential to be one of the greatest, if not most, in his lifetime.
Being able to thrive without dependence, and working hard to achieve one's goals are Nkosi's most valued ideals.
History: No one knows exactly of Nkosi's past, for he does not confide in many with the knowledge, if any, though he may merely allude to it. He was born the only heir and prince to a strong pack, many of them sharing a black or at least dark coat like him, and red eyes; his father was the ruling, massive wild dog, whose ultimate demise was having a soft spot for those considered too weak to survive independently. His mother was a sly, almost seductive soul, though she only had eyes for Nkosi's father, and she was able to influence the choices of many, including her mate. Both showed compassion for the weak in their pride, subjecting them to lesser roles in place of slavery--not even banishing them for their ineptitude at most every task everyone else in the pack had to do.
Nkosi's past pack rules, tradition, knowledge, and everything is not known, nor is the exact reason why the pack vanished. If Nkosi was asked by someone who had known his past and his struggles, he would say that the bloodline of the weaker in his pack sooner or later had mixed with those who were deemed strong, and thus came problems, soon diminishing the group to a few. While his parents were still around, they all resolved that Nkosi must "train" in solitude, away from the pack and everything else, until he was as strong in body and spirit as could be. Then, would he have a successful throne.
Now Nkosi wanders the lands, searching for canines alike displaying the fortitude and strength his line and most of his past pack possessed, hoping to rebuild what his parents were not able to sustain.

Bio: A brave, insecure hyena, Otieno is always nervous when one shows him any small sign of compassion, for he had none when he was young, other than what he received from his foster mother. Even then, both of them were ostracized from hyena packs, and so he developed a deep sense of being alienated and unwanted. This was compounded by the fact that he was abandoned by his real parents, though he was too young to know why or how they disappeared.
Otieno lives a modest life, and asks for no more. He is very much used to the idea of being alone, and though he desires company more than anything, he is very unused to it, and thus a rather quiet and shy hyena. He is earnest in most things he says and does, and despite his lack of social interaction while growing up, he is very considerate, reasonable, and giving; he seems almost selfless at times, as he may admire others more than himself no matter who it is. He was, after all, constantly reminded while growing up that he was not good enough to be recognized or treated well by others.
History: Assumed to have been abandoned at birth, Otieno never knew his biological parents, but was found quite young by a mostly red wonder--his foster mother, Talutah, who also named him when he was discovered. He instantly grew to love the doting mother as she protected him from others who seemed to be attracted to the odd duo; he didn't quite realized that it was because his adoptive mother had a very strange, perhaps frightening coat easily able to persecute. He was used to being alone with just his mother, her hunts easily sustaining the both of them.

History: Night has been around since the creation of Moon and Sun. For without a guardian to keep the two orbital entities in check, night would not come in time for creatures of the land to synchronize their daily schedules. Despite the keeper of the night living since one of the earliest times of the land, she has gone through many rebirths, none leaving her absent for too much time, as she does have to keep to her nightly schedule ending the day. Bast has kept her name and more or less the same black feline image she has had since creation, though not the same persona.

Bio: Independent, self-sufficient, and strong are some words that come to mind when describing Jokaeusi. Because he has not had much interaction or experience with strangers, relations, and emotions, he is easy to manipulate, or just not aware of social implications. He is mostly silent, used to being by himself and remaining quiet while stalking prey or remaining hidden from danger. While Jokaeusi can easily be civil to another, it is still rare for him to find actual enjoyment from company because he has simply learned to be content without.
Jokaeusi was already naturally strong and bigger at birth, but since his early thrust into vulnerability alone, he has grown even larger and stronger than well trained leopards. It is a result of training for survival on a daily basis instead of towards another effort. He has been hardened through life and has grown into a rather wild yet calm and respectable figure. His rather nonchalant and neutral way of dealing with company is out of some distant indifference and detachment with others. However, if provoked enough, he will readily become hostile and won't be hesitant in defending himself.
In all, Jokaeusi has a deep respect for nature, in which he feels unity.
History: His first memory was finding himself alone in a cave, darkened and dampened, and abandoned. Jokaeusi has since then had to survive on his own, and matured with his independence with rapid growth. Surprisingly, he made it through life as a cub without help, just simply stumbling upon leftover prey--whether it was luck, or if something more was guiding him to outlive other abandoned cubs, he became capable of handling himself at a very young age. No other ever thought to take the youngster in for care, and he didn't care to seek out any caretaker.
Jokaeusi learned quickly, and by the time he reached the prime of his childhood, he already knew how to hunt prey larger than himself. He didn't meet much, and the highest interaction he had with any other was with those he downed to feast on. blahblahblah

Bio: Rather coy and unlike her stern, realistic mother, Sarabi adopted her father's laid back awareness of the world. She addresses things calmly, choosing to be a pacifist in face of things her parents most likely would not tolerate. In addition to her soft nature, she is naive to a degree, and her innocence can be perceived through most of what she says.
History: Born in the Mistweavers land to Ushaufu and Kizuka, Sarabi grew up with a huge family, along with a bunch of littermates. All was well and Sarabi was fully accepting of the beliefs, tradition, and pride she only knew. As she reached adolescence, she was known for being one of the softest and childlike (if not most) of her family members. However, also during adolescence, her family matriarch--her mother--disappeared, and was assumed dead. This brought a crippling blow to the family, close as they all were, and even more so to their father. Inevitably, with the surrounding sadness, Sarabi's father lost his will to live, and, despite being a god, passed on.
Life was cold for Sarabi and her family in the Umande'mfuni, as scarcely any newcomers came by to brighten and strengthen the already small and inclusive pride. With her elder sisters' lead, wisdom and experience, Sarabi followed, along with the rest of the family and a few others to a place Aliona and Zuri'laghai both saw in their visions. She later became known with the rest as the Mizuka'nyevu, and was called to be a seeker alongside her brother, Kachero, and accepted her duty to "seek" gladly. Because of her role that allows for frequent leave of her new pride's valley and the abrupt change that started the movement, Sarabi would find it difficult in adjusting to a similar yet completely new life in the land of the mist ghosts.

Bio: Sweet little Nyota'dhamira is a girl full of childish innocence and well-meaning actions. She has a very small physique, like the rest of her family. Coming from a large community makes her able to instantly socialize with anyone, thinking that any stranger she crosses paths with is automatically a friendly face. She is very sprightly and enthusiastic albeit to a ditzy degree, but can usually brighten up another's day with her positive energy and blissful attitude. She is also naive, and would trust anyone unless they were outright mean to her.
Nyota'dhamira, being named after a star's wish, also has a deep interest in everything about the night sky. As well, she can be nocturnal when she wants to be, which is the best time she thinks it is to dance to the moon. One of the practices she carries traditionally is her dance, which she enjoys to perform in front of the moon; other times, she may fool around and practice dancing.
History: A small family who often enjoyed dancing in the moonlight gave rise to Nyota'dhamira and Ajali'Badriya; they were a lot who stuck together in a larger group of lions who practiced the same dancing and mostly looked the same, too. They did not call themselves a pride, and were definitely large enough to really be that or to claim a territory; they simply lived close to mountains and cliffs, and called themselves a family.
Nyota'dhamira and Ajali'Badriya were twins, though Nyota'dhamira was born pink and the other purple, and known for their duo displays during their performances. They stuck together and were very close, and not one knew something the other did not. This continued onto their adulthood, when the two departed to roam the lands outside their family.
Some number of years passed that the two were able to remain with each other, exploring happily and having numerous fun adventures. One day, however, Ajali'Badriya disappeared with no trace, and Nyota'dhamira worried over this. She then went on to find her twin sister, journeying through the lands once more for an actual goal.

Bio: Along with the weather, Goshi's mood drastically changes according to the atmosphere. Normally, he is a friendly and extroverted character, though others may find him difficult to deal with because of his generally wispy and ambiguous attitude. However, in extreme hot weather, Goshi is easily angered, and quick to act out of that agitation; he is most dangerous in this state, and doesn't seem to run out of energy, either, so others would best escape his presence during a sweltering day. If it rains, he turns forlorn, and enters a temporary depression until the rains pass. In particularly cold weather, he could become quite volatile and unstable in his emotions and actions.
Goshi is a solitary roamer, and he does enjoy roaming and drifting around from place to place. He sometimes believes he is a cloud himself, or just follows the clouds wherever they go above him. He is a thing of nature, an impassioned being unless his mood allows it, and he does not care what others think of him. Normally, Goshi barely reacts to anything in his vicinity; catch him on a rainy day, though, you will see otherwise.
History: It is guessed that Goshi simply flew in to the lands like a breeze; that is how he lifts himself on the savanna grounds, anyways. He wouldn't know much about his parents, even though he knew them for some time; he simply forgot them himself, although they have long since passed away. Goshi is very much in the state of the present, and remembering things that happened before that is just useless for him.
During one of Goshi's travels, he breezed by a cheetah that looked just like the landscapes he passes by sometimes, and was perhaps surprised himself to find that it was embodied in a cheetah. She allured him, in a way, through this vision, and he felt something enough to have more than just a rendezvous with the lady, Poromoko. She had his first child; however, he was long gone with the wind before any signs of that came to him.
With another breeze came another lady. Akila was a rather curious individual to Goshi, and he acted on his instincts before he could think. The two spent some time together, and before Goshi knew it, Akila had seven leopard cubs through him. Right after they were born, Akila suddenly left, leaving him with the seven newborns. Of course, Goshi was neither heartbroken or sad by the departure; in fact, he preferred his solitude. However, the fact remained that he had some obligation to these cubs, and that fact irritated him to the extent of making him declare that he would no longer have any affiliations with female leopards, if one was going to leave him with such a burden.
He roamed around with these kids, simply waiting for the day they could all go off without killing themselves. Of course, he expressed his best interests for them as well as he could - though it wasn't much; it was the fact that he kept them under his wings that made his affection significant, despite their presence being unwarranted on his end.

Bio: Reliable, honest, and calm makes up Pulika's personality. She is rather reasonable and more mature than her age, in that sense. Though she is almost the youngest in her litter, she likes to make sure that all rules are being followed so that everything is in order. Not one for messes or any sticky situation whatsoever, Pulika tries to keep her life in an organized fashion.
Pulika is also used to being in a large family, and so adores any sort of company. It is one of her wishes to have a large family, as well. Whether it be her own children or not, she accepts anyone willing to be kind and nice to her in return into her life. Despite her knack for keeping things orderly, she does have some adventurous heart in her, and is also a dreamer; she will only pursue these options if she plots out the entire path, though, and would not risk anything if it would harm her. Pulika is best situated in large groups where she can be a helping paw.
History: One of many, many pups in her litter, Pulika was born to two wild dogs who were very much in love, and very much kept their litter close. It was a huge family, and Pulika was close to everyone - though of course, Ereshkigal was one of her favorites, having been born right before the near identical twin. The two always stuck out as the last two true "twins", despite there being a couple others who looked alike amongst their group. While Ereshkigal was the more creative and adventurous one, Pulika was there to provide reason and kept both of them out of real harm's way.
As a result of being from a large family, Pulika adapted to be a good listener; she obeyed her parents most of the time and helped them keep the others from getting into trouble. They lived a relatively happy albeit loud life with each other. When the pups came into adulthood, they parted ways to look for different places - Pulika went off with Ereshkigal.
The two traveled with each other for a while, simply exploring what the savanna had to offer.
