I think the bird you're thinking of is Zapdos, my favorite bird legendary. 3nodding
So back in my scrub days (I use scrub loosely, and applied to myself), I was at this school outing, and someone brought smash. So all week, we played nothing but smash.
Anyway, we played with some items on. It's a FFA match, and it comes down to me (Samus at the time) and this other guy (Sheik). Final stocks. I break his shield, grab a super scope, and roll away. As I'm charging the shot, I start saying, "Yipee-Ki-ay- Moth---"
Before "mother" even came out of my mouth, I noticed a Party Ball opened up above me... and down came 3 bob-ombs...
Needless to say, the blast shot the ... gonk

I was playing against my brother and two of my cousins,

One of my cousins says, without thinking,

He answers with "I love people of all races and backgrounds."
Now that's a funny story. All of mine are stupid ones because I love pausing the game and seeing the funny images the melded characters make.
some images are so funny it gets me on the ground
anyway, the only time i get a funny picture is when im not on cam mode
then when i am, its not as funny...

We were playing a Four Man Melee on Corneria. I pulled it down to Donkey Kong (Me) Vs. Luigi (A friend).
I'm hurt and my opponent isn't so I decide that I'm going to even the match out to a fresh 1 stock for all by suicide grabbing Luigi and jumping off the far left side of the level. When I jump off, about even with the Lasers, Luigi escapes my grab but, rather than moving up out of the grab, Luigi manages to fall faster than me to his death. I use me Spin move to levitate up to the Lasers and taunt. My friend is pissed. He walks over to the edge and is like "Oooh, I'm not letting you back up here." I leap to the left, double jump back up, and then Spin up and over Luigi back onto the level and say "Oh, like that?" My friends are laughing hysterically. I get a few damage in before he Karate Chops me to my death.
I come back and we duke it out for a while, damn near two minutes more, and with a massive amount of damage on both our last stocks, I have a fully charged Giant Punch ready. We're on the right side on the screen. I go to punch him, accidentally do the Head Butt, and miss, leaving us both debilitated and on the ground and me with my Giant Punch still ready... I jam the B button, scream like Bruce Lee, and smack his clear off the level for the win.
Best match for me... ever.

Not a funny moment, but it was a moment I wish I had on tape...
I'm Captain Falcon. Buddy is Y.Link.
We start the match, and immediately I use the side B, hit him, but at early %'s it won't knock them up, so I follow up with a dair, followed by another dair (double jumped out of the first), use the side B again, follow up with a knee that sends him the left of Final D. Trying to show off, I feel like running at him, jumping, and hitting B for Falcon Punch. Somehow, I end up facing right while I'm doing this, and as I land and he techs up from his fall, BAM! Falcon punch to the face.
My buddies and I stared at the screen for a good minute wondering what the eff just happened in the last 20 seconds.
Good times. ^ ^

but I forgot what it was.

Yesterday my brother and I played a Time Match,
set at sixty minutes.
Yes, we played an hour-long single match.
We thought it would be grueling,
but as the timer ticked down
(slowly, oh so slowly),
that by the time we had about 10 minutes left,
we were both saying "Eh, that wasn't so bad."
We played in the Mute City stage,
which was interesting because after about fifteen minutes,
all of the vehicles in the stage grouped impossibly close together,
becoming what looked like some freakish mutant future-car of DEATH,
because if it happened to hit you, your damage percentage shot up by about 120%.
Final Results of the match:
Roy: -2 points (that's me, I won, lol)
Link: -3 points (that would be my brother)
Sheik: -18 points (Lvl. 9 CPU)
Samus: -18 points (Lvl. 9 CPU)
The whole match was just... hilarious...
Mostly because me and my brother were like
"How crazy do you have to be to play for an hour?!" the whole time.
