The General Discussion Scares Me

I'm getting really sick of the general discussion. It is horrible!!!!!

With all the porn trolls, trolls, and horrible topics it's become a cesspit. The chatterbox is better.

I can't even click on anything in the General Discussion without worrying about something awful coming up. Just a moment ago I clicked on a topic that was about a kid's cat dying so I wanted to go mourn or something and what did I get? A page full of guro hentai!!! It made me so sick I threw up!

We need to start a movement to save the GD. And for that matter the ED before it is overrun with topics like "All Mexicans are Bad!" (I saw that topic there) and "Gays? What's With 'Em?"!

Please stop this horrible cancer of the forums, before it spreads here and destroys us!!!

I had the same problem. I tried posting some good debates on ED and nobody really cared. sweatdrop

I also think everything in either ED or GD is full of typos so you can't even describe what it is these people are saying...

I agree. Any type of conversation that requires some intelligence and even possible literacy is impossible in those forums! I don't dare venture there anymore; I prefer to stay here.

In the nearly four years that I've been here (my four year Gaia annivarsary is on Halloween ^^) I've never been to the GD or the ED. sweatdrop

Sometimes I wade through that much in search of intelligent conversation... but usually come back to my guilds. I am in Pets and Animals guilds, this one, a few about various books, the Religious Tolerance guild, and such and even when they have their occasional spam idiocy... at least the TOPIC is worth following.

I want to, but it's like a lost cause. Human beings are just getting dumber, evil-er, and less sophisticated.

Do you know that in the past century, Americans have gotten dumber? Why is that? -_-

I guess we can say a problem is that "there are illiterate preteens flooding the site," but we can't blame all the problems on kids. There are some idiotic adults around here who happen to be even more closeminded.

Stupidity I can deal with; ignorance--especially those who deny it--is worse. Cause stupid people can't help it; maybe they just don't have the mental capacity to completely understand grammar, but average-IQ'd people who insist on "ORLY," "TTLY," and crap that goes on in GD...well. -_-

I stopped passing by GD and just click directly on the My Posts link. It's safer that way.
