How to get the Golden Tombstone?



I've gotten it for 2 Sims...and I really don't know how... confused

To get a golden tombstone, you have to be in perma-plat when they die. Perma-Plat, or Permanently Platinum, happens when a sim achieves it's lifetime want. Once they do, they are platinum for the remainder of their lives.

Perma-plat? I've only had it just platinum and it's done that before.

Since it's showing two Sims kissing, I'm assuming you got this because the Sim fulfilled the lifetime goal of making its 50th wedding anniversary. I don't age my Sims so I can't be sure, but it sounds likely.

Sims have lifetime aspirations I think, when you have university installed.

if you place the cursor over their aspiration bar, I'm sure it shows their life time aspiration.

Depending what type of sim they are (Family, Romance Etc...)
will affect what sort of life time aspiration.

A few examples,
Family;
Have 6 grandchildren.
Romance;
Woohoo with 20 different sims. (I think that's it)
Knowledge;
Be chief of staff (highest career level in medical).
Wealth;
Earn 100,00.

When you achieve this aspiration they like someone has already said have
perma-plat.

Meaning, when the sims dies, they have a golden tombstone.

The picture on the tombstone depends on what their aspiration was.

Which would mean, the picture of the tombstone of the sims was a romance sim.

(If any of this is incorrect, please pm me, telling me what I wrote wrong, and I will edit it. I haven't played in ages, and I'm just going by memory)

Those tombstones were available before Uni and the perma-plat status.

So it's been said before, but just to make it clear, you only need to be in platinum and you'll get that fancy headstone.

Since you only need to be in platinum, perma-plat will do it also, but isn't necessary.


The symbol on the tombstone is the symbol of their aspiration. If they're knowledge, they'll have the knowledge symbol. Popularity, they'll have the popularity symbol.

The two people kissing is romance. So this was a romance sim.

I had base-game golden tombstone. xd

What's weird though is when i made a new community lot a graveyard (After installing Nightlife and Seasons) and transferred two tombstones to it, one wasn't golden anymore. Poor old platinum sim doesn't have golden tombstone anymore... crying

See? Exacty. They've always been around, that's why you only need platinum mood, not the perma plat.


Sounds like a bug. sad I hear community graveyards can be glitchy.

Some people I know actually make a sim who owns the graveyard. So family members simply pass on the grave to the caretaker, and have that sim visit the lot and place the grave from their inventory.

You only get the Platinum tombstone if your Sims is an ELDER and dies having had fulfilled a life time aspiration. Dying plat before Elder gives u the regular old gray tombstone.
