Random fact - Rellik San is actually protected by digital and international copyright laws, I own that name, its mine, no one elses. I don't own derivatives of it, such as plain ol' Rellik, or Rellik Sama. But I own Rellik San.
Well the point?
I found this girl with my user name... besmearching my name with poor fan art and lousy music taste, so I sent her a cease and desist order, now I am yet to receive a reply, but considering its not just a user name for me, its a business contact name, do you all think I was right, to sign up to a site I wasn't on and send the cease and desist order? I did point out, she could have any derivative of it she wanted, but that Rellik San was mine. If she doesn't cease and desist, should I take her to court because I could potentially lose clients over this?

It doesn't matter whether he gets paid or not. His name is copyrighted, he owns it. Nobody can take it from him.
Not to mention that it isn't the most popular name ever. I've never heard anybody else call themselves that... So obviously the girl stole it from him purposefully.
I suggest you email her or something, and specifically tell her that you have full rights to the name, and ask her why the hell she's using it. |

I did message her, politely informing her of the situation and she did change her name.
Also, she's not being obnoxious, she just knows sometimes I can be full of myself and brag a little too much. razz |
