Does Deluxe need patches?

I recently got Deluxe, and I was wondering if you would need the original patches for The Sims 2 PC/DVD or the one for Nightlife?
I figure, since Deluxe came out semi-recently they'd already have the patches, but does anyone know for sure?

Well I've just been and visited the official site and can't see anything that mentions needing the patches. I can't see anything that says you don't need them either, though.
I would come to the same conclusion as you; that you don't need them as I would assume that they should already be included.
