i was at a restaurant or something and i heard a song from the sims 2
but in english!!!! it was one of the pop songs!
i was so shocked, i thought they just made up the songs


i feel like im the only one who didn't know sweatdrop

I heard them too, but they were in Simlish, not English.

So far I've heard two songs that I recognise. What songs are there? Is there a list?

I know that there was some 80's music added in one of the expansion packs (probably nightlife) such as "Shy, shy" by Cajagoogoo or however you spell it, three Bare Naked Ladies tracks were included in Family Fun (which you can download at the official site), "Doncha" by Pussycat Dolls was added in Pets, Lily Allen's "Smile" was added in Seasons and there's probably some more.

The base game had one or two real life songs. The rest were made up.

Well for Sims 2 I noticed that some of the songs sounded like real songs I've heard before.
But I don't listen to pop music so I wouldn't know.

The only stations I listen to on Sims 2 is metal and college rock.

If you open up the options menu and go to the audio options, you can actually look through the different songs and see which ones are real and who they're by.

Open your Sims 2 games folder in My Documents and find the Music folder. Inside there will be a folder for every music channel and game mode. Just drop your MP3 or WAV files into the folder you want and the next time you load the game your music will play as well as the Sims music. You can stop the normal game music playing by using the in-game audio options.

i think it was with pets they started making real songs into simlish
i cant use my own music anymore because the sims 2 is on the computer and the music is on my laptop, (the sims works much better on the computer, its all big and slow on my laptop. when i first put it on my laptop it was fine.... no clue what happened.)

Yeah! Then you can buy the real albums once you find out which ones you like. I'm totally hooked on Aly and AJ now. ^^

I know on the XBOX sims 2, Paramore is on there. Actually, all the songs on the Xbox version are real, but it's just in Simlish.
