Chozi stretched out his limbs and smiled happily to himself, moving along the shores of the ocean pride. He didn't often stray far from the water's edge (unless of course he was in the family den) but today he was quite a bit far from the water, just exploring the sand!

A small shell dangled in his mane, it was a pretty little spiral shell and he knew it was exactly like the one his sister wore. It made him feel nice, to match his sister. Though he was still weirded out by her... couldn't she be normal? Or at least have one emotion all the time?

He was happy all of the time, and that seemed to annoy her.

((Kamaria never found the mistweavers. She was attacked by a group of rogues in that general area before she made it to the pride. The rogues outnumbered her, were larger and attacked out of hunger, not spite.))

Despite Katavi's clear warning, the young lioness, Kamaria continued on her journey to the mistweaver lands. Her mother's stories and love for her people was all that inspired the former mistweaver's daughter. Kamaria had a location and countless beautiful descriptions to find her home.

When she neared, however, she was not quite certain that she was there. The land was nearly completely barren and the few lions she managed to get a glimpse of in the distance were thin, weak and looked either saddened or incredibly upset. The intricately marked lioness should have kept hidden where she was, but by the appearance of the land and lions, she had to offer some kind of help. Upon further inspection, the lioness realised that the lions she could see looked nothing like what her mother had described to her. As she took a few steps back to continue on her way, she was suddenly attacked.

Her attackers did not seem cruel, but hunger flared in their eyes. Although they were larger, they were frail and weak. Their bones were visible through their fur and Kamaria felt guilt as she was both clawed and bitten. The small lioness was lucky to escape with her life.

With new scars and a limp, the lioness' spirit had been absolutely crushed. She had been certain that was where her mother's pride was supposed to be, and yet she found nothing! How could her mother have given her false information! Did she not know that the lands were dangerous?

Chozi's eyes landed on the female near the water and automatically thought 'leopard'! His father sometimes told him stories, none of them were very happy or good. Most of them were pretty scary, to be honest.

But then he realized the 'leopard' looked exactly like his mother. "Lion!" He whispered to himself, feeling relived. What was wrong with her? He moved forward, toward her. "Are you alright?" He called, worry thick in his voice. Chozi would help anyone if they needed it.

Kamaria had never thought twice of her markings inherited from her mother. She understood that she wore the pattern that many leopards wore as well, but she thought her build set her apart. Upon meeting a variety of lions, however, she learned that even those among her own species had very different builds.

Dragging her form still, until she heard a worried voice call out, the lioness looked over, fear filling her body. Was this another rogue aiming to attack her? The lioness had blood soaked into her fur and was shaking greatly. The trip had certainly not been what Kamaria had hoped and as Katavi had warned her, she did pay the price.

Attempting to inch away from the approaching creature, Kamaria whimpered and winced in pain. The new gashes and scars would certainly take time to heal. "Please don't hurt me..!" She begged, her voice weak. It was only when she noticed the lion approaching was smaller than her, that she began to relax.

He stiffened and faultered, not sure he should come any closer when she made the cry and the words seemed scared. He thought that he would not like a stranger coming near him either unless they had said are you alright first but she didn't seem to hear correctly... if someone was alright why would you ever want to hurt them? He wasn't sure of that either but what was just was and that was that!

"I-I won't.." His voice trembled. Was something very wrong with her? Maybe he should get help.. He looked around but he knew his family was at the den and that was a bit of a walk. He had no one to turn to then! "Are you badly hurt miss?" He squeaked out, feeling more nervous and unhelpful by the minute.

When the male paused, Kamaria could see that he seemed reluctant. If he was an attacker, he certainly would not approach so very slowly and then come to a stop when she appeared frightened. Lifting her wounded body, the lioness' voice came out very softly and gently. The male approaching was younger and perhaps in the site of all the blood, she had frightened him. "I hope I haven't worried you.." Her voice trailed on, as though she was too weak to say more.

As his voice trembled, Kamaria began to feel guilty. Why should her mistake burden this young male who just happened to stumble upon her? Wincing and lowering her ears sadly, the lioness looked around. Perhaps she might offer him a task that would shift his eyes from her intimidating form. The large gashes on her shoulders, as well as on her back legs and thigh were thick and deep from her attempts to run when the others were attacking. Near the ocean, they stung and hurt more, but she couldn't leave from where she was. Not until they healed.

Speaking quietly, she looked to him sadly, "Please don't worry about me.. You must have things to attend to..?" By the hesitation and trembling voice, Kamaria had already begun to trust him. Her trust has been one of her weaknesses, but in this moment, it might be all that could help her.

Haven't worried him! He would laugh if his feelings were not so mixed up and he was not so scared for this adult. Of course she was worrying him... what kind of lion wouldn't be worried by a wounded member of it's race? His tail flicked and his breaths came unevenly.

"Uuh uhm... no no, I can't leave you here!" He cried out when she suddenly said to leave her be. "You need to be healed don't you?" He whined lightly. What did his mother do? Oh yes...

He moved forward tentatively and eyes her a moment. "C-can... is it alright if.. I clean them?" He meant her cuts which were bleeding. It was okay, right? Oh why wasn't his mom around!

Kamaria's heart dropped as she watched the younger male before her. He had shown such a great amount of care already and she felt as though she was breaking something within him. Once he had witnessed such a battered and broken lion, how could he ever return home with the young, carefree spirit he once had? Kamaria's ears lowered as she watched him, thinking desperately how to coax him to return home.

Chozi was determined that she needed to be healed and though he both stuttered and hesitated, Kamaria was thankful for his offer. "I appreciate it, but I feel I have cleaned myself to the best of my ability.. I'm unsure if you could help any further...." Her tone was almost rude and Kamaria hated what she was becoming. How could she treat such a kind and gentle lion like this simply because she was scared?

Releasing a short sigh, she glanced over towards the territory she had been told belonged to a pride. "Perhaps.. you could tell me a story? Do you know anything of the pride nearby? I love to learn.."

He frowned and moved back away from her when she said she'd cleaned herself enough. How could that be when she was still bleeding from several gashes... some in places she couldn't reach, he thought.

He took a deep breath, he didn't want to tell her no about the story thing but he wasn't used to saying 'no', not at all. She clearly needed help, not a story. Not that he knew any.

"Miss maybe I should go get someone from the pride!" He breathed, moving more away from her. "I don't know stories!" He added helplessly.

Kamaria had hoped that her suggestion would calm the male, but clearly he was beginning to panic. Kamaria had been through the worst of her pain and although she was not fully cleaned and was indeed in need of some kind of assistance, she was not sure of just what. Shaking her head, Kamaria only felt her guilt worsen.

Perhaps should could steer the conversation somewhere else, but then realised just what he had said. Perhaps he could get someone from the pride? Kamaria nodded lightly. If she could get up and move herself in the time that it took for him to return, perhaps she could avoid another confrontation.

"That might be a good idea..." She spoke quietly, glancing off towards where she assumed the pride was located.

He nodded and gave her a reassuring smile. "I'll come back soon!" He declared before dashing off, toward where he knew the main pride would be. If his mother was there that would be excellent!

Kamaria's ears flattened against her skull as she watched the male quickly run off in order to grab help for her. He was such a gentle soul and yet she was not willing to accept the kindness that he was offering her.

Lifting her body slowly and very carefully, Kamaria began to leave the area in which she was intended to stay at. She dragged her feet behind her, but managed to creep away and find a shelter a great distance away before Chozi returned.

Guilt remained with Kamaria all the while.

When he had gotten back it'd been with his father, who'd been reluctant to come in the first place.

How furious he'd been when Chozi couldn't find the lioness again! He'd made the young lion cry quite a bit with his shouting and stuff, he'd even said that momma hadn't even wanted him near the children right now so just leave him be! Lying for attention and all that.

So chozi had wandered off in hopes of finding his sister so that perhaps they could play a game together or something, take his mind off of it.
