Known for worshiping the moon, clan members usually lived on mountains, they were hunted for the accusation of being monsters, Yoh only surviving because he hid. They often grow their nails which are unusually strong, almost steel like, most likely due to a chemical they apply daily to help strengthen them. Members of the clan often sharpen their nails to a dangerous honed edge that can easily cut through clothe and flesh.

- Kirikugi, "Cutting Nails": This is a martial arts technique similar to Dragon or Tiger style that focuses on using the nails as a primary weapon. Mostly slash and claw type movements this style of martial arts can be very dangerous and is known for leaving opponents blinded or worse.
