The Mystery of the League of Shadows
The League of Shadows is a collection of Vampires, all foreigners. No one can tell you exactly how many there are... They posses an unnatural speed, even in comparison with other vampires. They will however never address themselves as 'Vampires' rather 'Vampyre' A nomadic breed of vampire that has no age, no history known to many others. They are the hitmen, high profile assassins of the underground world. They keep our kind safe but are ruthless and unruly in their measures. Like the Nine Worthies they are to be feared and respected. Because they resemble the shadows of the night, unseen, unheard and unknown. The League of Shadows is in Alliance with the Nine Worthies & together they work to keep the Vampyre Law

Alexander Köster came from ancient times and ancient lands. His feet had passed through kingdoms that no longer had names, and his eyes had seen the rise and fall of civilizations. The remarkable thing about Alexander, and what truly made him different from his kin was that his path was not finished, and his feet wanted to travel further, and that his eyes always had a youthful gleam to them. No matter the number of wonders or atrocities seen, there was something else to see or to do.
He was born into a wandering Romani family, some four hundred years before the birth of Christ. His kumpania--a collection of Rom familias, or family units--were wandering merchants and performers. They carried goods, news, stories, and culture from place to place, traveling from as far East as Cathay, to as far west and north as Spain. They were free in the world, and despite laws and persecution and pursuit, they lived care-free and aloof... But only at night. The family held a secret more precious than its worldly cargo. The kumpania was actually led by a group of three vampires. When Alexander came of age, he had sufficiently grown within his family unit to become the Baro, or "Big Man" as it translates to English. He would be the leader of his family within the kumpania... and later selected to be turned into one of the vampires leading the caravans.
He felt, after becoming a vampire, that he had only just begun to live. He had been playful in life, but he was now a trickster's trickster, and his drive to flaunt his freedom at those poor people tied into cities and lives of servitude only amplified within him. As his wanderings continued over the ages, he saw the fall of the Roman Empire. The rise and fall of Constantinople. The Crusades... There was so much magic in this world, and so much raw energy. His morals began to change over time, until he was no longer so heavily shackled to his humanity, but a kind of moral paradox. He felt that magicians and vampires and all of these things of the night bound up unbelievable amounts of the world's energy or magic within themselves, and that he would need to release that energy back into the world by undermining or harming those who grew too old or too powerful. The paradoxical part was that he, himself, must become ancient and powerful to be able to affect others.
He spent time considering this paradox and others, expanding his mind and the abilities of his blood--incredible toughness, a strange kinship or bond with animals, and the ability to manipulate the world's magic, to make slight distortions in reality. What would be called, "illusions," once there was a word for it. In his quiet contemplation, rather than becoming a crusader of his strange morality, he became a kind of poet-monk. He began to develop more interest in exploring the mystical side to his own enlightenment, and to enjoy those things that WERE a part of this world.
Fast-forward nearly a thousand years, and we find that Alexander has survived into the modern nights. Time has continued to be kind to him, and the world is still full of wonder and magic... and trouble to get into. A part of his success, though, comes from appearing completely powerless to those who would wish to challenge or harm him. By working hard to not be perceived as a threat, he was able to move through the world's byways unmolested. When the most powerful of the vampires were being drawn together, he couldn't help but grow excited at the prospect of pulling such a huge prank on them all, by continuing to pretend to be young and without value.... only to have his own name called forward. The looks on the blue-bloods faces would be priceless!
So... he presented himself, and he waited... but could never take the grin off of his face. Because he knew that soon, all of his study would pay off, if only for a brief moment of enlightenment.

Kore, the only known person to have come from the Ancient times of the Grecian Empires to roam the earth, has lived many lives through the different time periods she had lived. A goddess by birthright, she was said to be the the only daughter of the Greek God of the Dead, Hades. Though her goddesshood was never disproved nor did any mortal wish to, she lived on her life.
Her life was not glamorous like most of the gods on Mt. Olympus, but it was not a dreary one either. Since she could not live with her father in the Underworld, nor could she live with her mother on the island of Nysa. Both places were reserved for either the dead, or the gods and Zeus did not accept her as a goddess for he hated her father, Hades. So she lived within the villages as an Oracle to the Gods, a guide for the mortals so to speak.
Until one day, when she was walking the trails of the nearby woods, it grew dark. Unnaturally dark. Apollo was not yet scheduled to let the sun set into the west for another few hours. Kore sensed another type of ancient power, one that the gods did not have. It was of the vampire. She was attacked by said vampire and dragged into the night, never to see the light again. It is true that you cannot kill a god, but you can change them. Her blood to the vampire was like a drug to a human, addicting and sweet to the taste. He kept her until she had managed to kill him. If he were a mortal, she would have killed him easily, but since the vampire was not as fragile as a human, it took her a while to know how to kill the beast.
Now centuries later, Kore still walked the earth, still being connected to her father and mother through the help of the guardian of the Underworld, Cerberus the three headed dog, whom has been sent to protect her. She lives on for knowledge of her kind and of the differences mankind had thought up over the years.

Zachariasz Tobiasz Zaleski. A man born into darkness from times long past, yet he walks this earth even today. Throughout history there were many fakes and imposters claiming to be of great nobility, or of ancient lineage to gain vampiric prestige, but Zachariasz knew his place. In life he was once a Polish nobleman. He was not a great king, nor was he a ruler of entire kingdoms. No, Zachariasz led a humble space of land in his native Ancient Slavic Poland. Over history, and after his change into the undead world, he began to take residence in other parts of the land, residing in his manour for many years, and even in the mountains outside of Krakow to escape the overwhelming force of the Invading Third Reich during World War Two.
Always the one to think, Zachariasz always was a proud, and at times, seemed aarogant, but never acted without thinking. If there was anything he could pride himself on, it was his tactical knowledge and his reactive mind. Rarely will something truly upset him to the point of an outburst, especially during his travels, where he learned to practice the virtue of patience. Many vampires and humans alike have claimed to be something they are not, but Zachariasz is not among them.
Still traveling the world, and always in search of others like him, he thinks about things past and present. His human days are long past, and what has gone centuries ago will not return. Civilizations have risen and fallen before his eyes. But vampires are like humans in another sense... they are not a race of people, but a seperate species, one could say. To continue practicing his learnings and continue searching for answers, both internal and external, Zaleski can only hope to better his own life, as well as assist the kindred who walk among him, and share his way of unlife.
