I was just wondering what everyone's desired next purchase is. This is, I guess, similar to the gun wishlist thread, but this is just for one gun-the next one you want to get (or first if you don't have one yet.) Post a picture, too, if you can find one.

For me?

The Ruger KGP-141

It's built like a tank, has a perfect fit for my hand, adjustable sights, good grips that combine recoil absorbtion with rosewood inserts, and it's a .357 Magnum. Not to mention it's cheaper than a Smith of comparable quality. And after that? Probably a lever-action rifle in the same caliber or an evil black rifle.

Post yours.

Right now I'm spending half my money on ammo(mostly ammo hoarding, it is a disease!), 25% buying other stuff, 20% winter gifts, and 5% saving.

Sometime after Xmas I'll be saving for a decent 1911 or HK45.

+1 for ammo hoarding!!! Just bought another 500 round for my mosin for only $86. My parents don't understand my lust for more ammo. (960 rounds total so far)

Back on topic, my next firearm purchase will probably be a PU scope mount for my mosin, as for a new firearm most likely a pistol or semi-automatic rifle.

I was going to wait until I had finished up breaking my early Xmas present to myself in before posting this, but it will be another week before I can get this to the range and do any real shooting.

Happy Xmas to me!

Oh, and I 'brushed the serial no. from the frame. Note where this gun was built...

I've been looking at the Bersa Thunder as well. Like a PPK, but cheaper.

Possibly a Masada, but probably a USP Combat Competition.

Chinese Type 56 SKS(Or some sort of variant. Need to find out when I can from my uncle who's getting it). Not exactly the best, but it's a step up from my .22 mag and not too bad for $120 with 500 rounds.

I'd like to build a FAL or AR-15 carbine, but I'm most likely gpoing to to get the cheapest Mosin Nagant I can get my hands on. Or I could wait for the Masada to come out and horde money for years to buy it.

FAL=Cheaper than AR-15.

And if my father had said anything about pistols in the conversation about me being able to buy firearms, I'd get a 92FS or a CZ75.

I used to laugh at the ugly High Points but then a friend bought one. It's nice! I was surprised!

Bersa Thunders are good guns. I fired one a few years back.

Well, I'm only 14, but I can predict what my first firearm will be, no?

I think mine'll probably be some sort of [shoddy] bolt action .22 or .17.

That being said, probably a stevens model, or whatever.

As per a REAL firearm... I get a .357 when I turn 21 as per tradition, but the first gun I'll buy will probably be... I dunno, maybe an SKS or Mosin-Nagant, 'cause I really am not sure how I will be [monitarily] in 4 years.

[EDIT] Or, a .410 shotgun.

I cannot stress enough how much of a bad idea that is. Never go cheap on an already questionable firearm. Don't get me wrong Mosins are lovely rifles and wonderfully cheap to shoot, just don't pick one out without inspecting it first. I wouldn't go over $115 when it comes to purchasing the rifle though. When I was looking for my mosin I saw way too many cheap rifles with horribly fouled barrels.

The biggest problem I had with my mosin was cosmoline. When you are searching for a mosin, look at the stock and make sure it doesn't look greasy. Run your fingernail over the stock and if any yellow junk comes off you shouldn't get it unless you are willing to go through the hassle of getting all of the cosmoline out. trust me, having a rifle sweat cosmoline while you are shooting is one of the worst things in the world.

Yeah, guns don't usually kill people on their own.

Cheap Russian guns do, though.
