As the title suggests, talk about your favorite zombie motion pictures.

Let's start out with the basics.

The Evil Dead series
The original Living Dead movies (though the endless remakes are worth a look)
28 Days Later (haven't seen the sequel)
Shaun Of The Dead

... and in anticipation of the release of I Am Legend. Charlton Heston in
Omega Man

Bring out your dead! Let's see what entertains you.

Night/Dawn/Land of the Dead series movies, Resident Evil, 28 Days Later, and Shawn of the Dead are good ones.

I want to see I am Legend badly. o3o

If I Am Legend is indeed based on The Last Man on Earth with Vincent Price, it won't really be much of a zombie movie.

More like the classic 60's "WHAT HAS SCIENCE DONE?" flicks.

About the only thing these movies have in common with what Richard Matherson wrote in his novel I Am Legend decades ago are the main character names. Buy the book or borrow a copy from the library.

Buy it, it's totally worth it for the short story 'The Near Departed'

28 Days/Weeks Later... isn't a zombie movie.

And I suggest Feeding the Masses if you're into the media being ********' idiots.

-wild zero
-biozombe
-return of the living dead (my favorite american zombie flick)
-cemetery man
-zombie (or zombi 2) (or any other lucio fulci zombie flick)
-night of the living dorks (german flick, much funnier than shaun of the dead)
-kung-fu zombie (chinese zombies are more like vampires)
-dead men walking (better modern zombie flick)
-chud 2
-house of the dead (it was so good it was bad)
-junk
-heavy metal (the one section where the dudes were in the b52 and the zombies came alive, short but so bad a**)

and a ton other ones, most of which sucked but had its moments

which was based on the book by matheson written in the 50s

omega man has its similarities, and both of them (pirce and heston) both get impaled on a stick

How could I have forgotten Biozombie?
It's the only non-English movie I'll watched dubbed.

The amazingly funny dubbing makes up for a lack of gore.

I agree, I just assumed it would have more gore than it did.

I was renting The Omega Man along with other videos for the week when I passed a rack containing something called Undead Or Alive. It's a Western with native american zombies. I'm going to try linking from the IMDB website from this point on so folks here can bypass the Google searches.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0795505/plotsummary

PS, after watching Omega Man again, I cannot in all good conscious call the genetic mutants in the movie zombies.

Fido was pretty good.
And I actually rented Undead or Alive and Rise of the Dead from Blockbuster, I plan on watching them either tonight or tomorrow, since I have the day off.
