Wacheza was roaming about again, followed by his usual trail of butterflies and small animals as he headed down the small rock cliff towards the sandy beach of his pride. It was a fairly warm day, sunny... without a cloud in the sky. That usually made Wacheza more unhappy than happy, because it meant he was unlikely to get a visit from his friend Nix, or her sister Rage.

Still, without their visits he had time to think and contemplate. Or he could meet new friends who wandered past the pride from time-to-time. Maybe one of his siblings would come to play. All sorts of things could happen.

Excellent. In other words, the day had started well, and he only hoped it would end the same way.

Little paws dug into the the ground below as a green cheetah cub made her way along the beach. Water splashed at her heels as she did so but that didnt discourage the little cub at all. Specks of sand flew about leaving only a memory of her being there. These memories were consumed by the passing waves whom happily gulped the trace that once was. The sand behind the scurrying green cub had no trace or memory of her being there.

Thats how she liked it and why she partly visited the beach. She could run about freely with no trace of her to linger. She was free to go anywhere with out a memory left behind. It was nice, almost a dream like way of thinking. Though she knew if she strayed to far from the waves her memory of being there would last. Staying in once place was just not her thing. Anything to avoid that punishment she would do. Never stopping and never looking back, that was her way.

Though something made her pace lighten. Up ahead she could see something moving from the rocks. Almost whimsical in the way it moved as if it was a ghost. She slowed to a trot looking over. What, or whom was that , she pondered. Something about the creature had captured her attention.

Almost instantly, the butterflies around Wacheza began to scatter, which alerted him to the fact that he was no longer along on the beach. It didn't really worry him, as it was he had never met anyone hostile before in his life... except perhaps his brother, whom he was not all that sad to see gone.

He turned around to look and blinked a few times. There was a dust cloud coming towards him. A dust cloud. Or was that a sand cloud? He wasn't entirely sure. He would have to think on that one later. But all the same, something was coming towards him fast, and he couldn't see it all that well... except, oddly enough, for the occasional fleck of green.

He tilted his head to the side and watched it, blinking in suprised. Now... what on land or sea can that be? he wondered, barely noticing that his smaller friends had left him as the dust-storm came closer. It appeared to have a head... though it didn't really look like a lion, and it was a little smaller than he was... what could it be?

The dust cloud that lingered behind her lessened and lessened as her pace lessoned, but it wasnt enough. Scurrying paws would not slow down so easily and the creature was right ahead. Pilate wanted to cry out to it to move but couldnt find missing voice to call out. Before the cub could even fathom what was about to happen it happened.

Next thing she knew her body was now on top of an unknown mound of fur. She knew this before opening her eyes just by the feel. Slowly, very slowly, she opened her eyes to find that she was on top of a creature that sort of resembled you.

"Wh-" She stopped before giving him a nother once over with her eyes, "Who... what are you?" This cub was still fairly new to the world. She had encountered her share of creatures but the one now under neath her was a new one.

Wacheza had been quite shocked when something had run into him from the dust-storm. As it turned out, it could speak... and also didn't appear to be dust or sand, which was slightly bewildering. He was reminded, he remembered, of Fenris, the half-lion half... now, what was that other thing? A cheeta. Yes, that was it. Yes, the thing... which seemed to be female from it's voice, was probably a cheeta, which looked like a lion, but wasn't one.

On another note, "Ow..." Wacheza mentioned, blinking a few times before he smiled in his sweet, slightly dopish way, "Hello there. I'm Wacheza. What's your name?"
PostPosted: Sat Dec 15, 2007 10:17 pm

"Your a Wacheza?" Pilate blinked tilting her head. " Thats an odd name for ... a what ever you are? Wacheza..." With out thinking she hopped off the mound of fur. Nothing hurt on her but she was sure she was hurting him by sitting on top of him, though she didnt bother to ask if he was alright.

"My names Pilate," Her tone was proud. "I've not run into a Wacheza before.. I'm a cheetah by the way. You probably already know that. By the way you look you must be what? A teen?" Her green tail swooshed back and forth in a calm manner whipping up dust as it did so. Cats generally did this when they were annoyed, Pilate did it cause she just hated to stay still for more than a few moments.

"Me? I'm not a Wacheza. My name is Wacheza... that was the who I think." Wacheza said, tilting his head curiously as he watched Pilate's tail twitch, "And I'm a lion... which is sort of like a cheeta... but not exactly. I had a friend who was half-cheeta half-lion once, but I've never met a full cheeta before. He was green too. It's nice to meet you Pilate."

Wacheza didn't seem to mind that Pilate had been sitting on him. He was easy-going by nature, and didn't like to complain anyway. He was more interested in the fact that he had just met a real cheeta, "And I'm... well, I'm almost a teen, but no, I'm still pretty much a kid."

Lion, she had heard that word before but couldnt remember where. "Lion huh? Its nice to meet you Wacheza the lion who is a big kid but not a teen." The young cheetah was amused by the nature of the meeting but again she kept her thoughts to her self.

"Sooooo your a cheetah? Does that mean you like to run around?" Dust kicked up as her tail moved from side to side in a hasty manner.

"Well..." Wacheza smiled, amused by what Pilate had called him, "I play tag and stuff all the time, and that's pretty fun. Which is like running around, where you try and catch the other lions... or cheetas I guess who are running around with you."
PostPosted: Sat Dec 15, 2007 10:39 pm

"Tag...?" Pilate tilted her head once more confused but nodded. "Guess that could work... what ever floats your boat I guess." Moving around her whole life with out anyone to educate her on the wonders of play had left the cub with out the knowledge of how to play, or even what things were. Being so young and trying to learn with out a teacher isnt an easy task. Every so often Pilate did converse with local animals but never stayed around to really get to know any of them.

"So.. Let say I do this," Her paw tapped Wacheza on his shoulder, "I run and you chase?"

Wacheza nodded, "Okay, that sounds like fun. But I'm not super fast..." he was fairly fast as far as lions went, as he was extremely graceful and never tripped or fell. He also explored a lot, which kept him in shape. Whether or not he could keep up with a cheeta would be... interesting, but she was young, so he was willing to bet that he would be able to keep up... at least a little.

"I'll count to five and then I'll come after you. Boundaries are this beach from the rock-cliff to the seaweed bed over there, okay?" He asked, seeming to be in good spirits for the game.

Boundaries were something the little cub loathed the most but for the sake of the game she smiled and nodded. It would be a good change to interact with a lion close to her age after all.

With out a second thought she found her self scampering about in circles as Wacheza counted, building some speed.

"One... two... three... four... five! READY OR NOT HERE I COME!" Wacheza cried, tearing off after Pilate. He was pretty quick, maintaining his footing on the uneven ground. He did like to run around every now and then... it kept him from getting lazy.

Pilate was concentrating on her circle not paying attention until the lion cub was closing in on her. Her back paws sprang her into a jolt of a run. Fast, but alittle wobbly from the sudden start, Pilate made her way quick enough to avoid the tag. Though now Wacheza was close on her tail and she knew it was only a matter of time before he closed in oner.

It seemed the two were running in circles, dodging stray rocks on the beach and making sure they didnt step out of boundry. The trill of the game was new, exciting to Pilate. This was something new! And she liked it. It was almost like she was being the very thing she ate. A little sadistic to think of that while being chased by a lion, but none the less the thought made her chuckle to her self.

Wacheza grinned and followed after her. When he had been younger, more around Pilate's age, he had always liked games like leap-frog and hide-and-go-seek. Really, this was one of the first games of tag he had enjoyed, mostly because he had been too good at it for other lions to keep up. He had been to graceful for them to keep up when he reached tricky places.

Pilate though, was awsome. She could keep up with him, she was fast, and she was fun. He liked her, she was one of those animals who were interesting to be around. She was also fun to look at... because she was so green!
