Welcome, one and all, to what is probably the first Dragonball Z RP in the history of LOH. I know DBZ is pretty popular (a cult classic, in fact) and I figured it was about damn time we had a half-decent DBZ RP around here for once. Here is the story: After the events of GT, all the Kais gathered together and hosted a Grand Tournament for all fighters of the universe, in memory of Goku and his great deeds. Fighters from far and wide have been informed of this tournament, and are training as we speak. However, some of the universe's greatest villains plan to use the tournament as a means to eliminate any opposition and take control of everything in sight. This is a nexus for combat; many fights will occur here. To some, it is a simple tournament. For others, it is the difference between life and death. Welcome to the Universal Shenron Tournament. What side are you on?
Rules:
1) I don't care about content. Swear all you want, as long as you don't make it every word in a sentence... Unless your character has just stubbbed a toe,or something. Likewise, all romantic description is okay by me, but keep your fellow RPer's in mind. All ages exist on Gaia, so you may run the chance of warping another's mind. Parents, this right here is a warning. Also, any and all violent description will be tolerated... and encouraged.
2) No chatspeak. I will accept poor grammer, bad punctuation, and misspellings as long as the over-all post is legible, though.
3) Follow the Gaia TOS. No brainer.
4)No godmodding. However, some people have abilities that may get very close to that line, and those will be tolerated. (i.e., Instant Transmission, Regeneration, and Impact Absorption [i.e., Super 17])
Alright. Any pre-made DBZ character can be used, with the exception of Goku, who was whisked away by Shenron. However, ods are they have significantly aged. After all, once GT was done, Pan was like, 50-something. However, I encourage above all else the use of custom characters in this RP. Here is the profile structure for custom characters. Any people attempting to use a pre-made just needs to post the name of the character in brackets in their first post. I will post taken pre-mades here in the first post to help people get information straight. Also note: This tournament consists of several trillion fighters, since it covers the expanse of the universe. This means two things: The first is that this tournament will rage for many years straight, and will only occur once. Odds are, most contestants won't live long enough to see the tournament's end. This means that while a clear ending will be difficult, it will allow you character to age normally, meaning you can actually raise your characters and have them grow. The second meaning is simple: There can't be a single arena, for that would take forever. You need to conquer all the other contestants on your home planet before proceeding to the finals. There won't be specific arenas on the planets: You will move freely on the planet challenging your rivals wherever and whenever. Then, once the 5 strongest of each planet have been chosen, they shall be transported to the world of the Kais and put into the finals. Then, the arenas will consist of realms created by the Kais for the sole purpose of this tournament, as well as a few others. However, I realize the problems of this, so flight or transport to other planets to fight their competitiors will be allowed. I realize this may be a bit complicated for some; feel free to PM me with any questions, or simply feel free to not join if you feel this is too much.
Also, unique from most organized tournaments (the exception being the Cell Games) death of contestants is allowed. Too restrain such power is a crime, and we want to see interesting matches. Let the RP begin.

Bio/Backstory: Raised in a planet completely covered in darkness, Ukon is blind but has learned to compensate with his other senses, including his ki sense. He is merely in the tournament to test his own limits, and to become a stronger fighter.

As dagaron went into the kitchen he stoped at the entrance and he heard his parents arguing agian they where arguing about getting rid of dagaron and sending him to a foster home he listned closly" why dont we just send him away because he is a 17 year s**t head who dosnt listen to our orders and looks like he is going to kill somebody" dagaron walked into the kitchen and sat down without a tear and said " ******** YOU you guys are tlking about sending me away what do you want to do after im gone have another kid and send him away to you know what." "what are you going to do about it kid" " you know what im going to do i......am....going.......to.....kill...you" " haha who do you expect to do that " " like this" he ran towards his father and kick him in the sttomach as hard as he could and as he fell to his knees he pleged for forgivnes and dagaron laughed at him and kicked him in the head breaking his neck he looked at his mom and said " ka...meh...ha..meh....ha"and killed her " i will join the universal shenron tournament but first i will have to train with somone who knows martial arts and i will have to practice my meele attacks because that is all i have.

Dagaron says" okay ******** this im am really bored" and uses instent trasmistion to teleport to Ukon's planet when dagaron got there he could not see a thing so he pulled out a lanter out of his a** so there was light and all of a sudden there where monsters every where trying to eat him so he turned off turned off the lantern and it went back to darkness and they went away. " Luckly i eat alot of carots becasue every body nows carots give you good night vision" so he went to go find this man called Ukon and said " Ukon i know we just met and i dont even know if this is you because your completly coverd in blacknes but will you teach me to get stronger."

(Justin... No. Just, no. Too many things are wrong with that. The parents situation, I can tolerate. However, there are flaws after that point which are not probable of occuring. First, and foremost; nobody stores lanterns in their hind-quarters. Perhaps you should have brought a backpack along. Second, how could you know Ukon's name before meeting him? There is no way of knowing his name, since he was never on the media and never anywhere near you before. Furthermore, how can you teleport to a planet you don't even know? When Goku used Instant Transmission, he had to know exactly where he was going, or at least the energy signature of who he was trying to go to. Finally, night vision doesn't exist on this planet. There is no light, for the nearest star is several billion light years away. The principle of night vision is that the eye gathers even the tiniest bit of light to see, and that only applies where there is light. So, to wrap things up, please try again. Your posts are pretty crappy.)
Ukon had slain 33 beasts on his planet that day, and he was roasting them over a spit in his house. It wasn't a fire as it could conventionally be called; it was a dark blue, and did not provide illumination. If one was close, it could be seen as a flickering blue thing surrounded by blackness. As far as he knew, there were 7 fighters and 3 more beasts capable of entering other than himself, and that had to be narrowed down to 4. "Hmmm... If I eliminate six of the seven warriors of this planet, that means that my only competition from this planet will consist of the beasts and a single fighter, meaning I will be able to excel in comparison to their weakness. That will be the easy part... Now... How will I go on once this tournament starts? How will I make a living on other worlds as I fight to win? I will need to think about that..." He stirred and stoked the fire, thinking about his future...

After eating what he could and storing the rest in his meat cellar, he put out the fire and laid his trusty harvesting blade next to the furnace. With a yawn, he went to bed. Tomorrow... the true battle would begin.
(For all those out there turned away from this RP by lacosse's posts, I'm just gonna ignore those. Feel free to do the same.)
