Discovery Of An Oddity

Faust shuffled towards the entrance of his guesthouse, tired from a long day of work, ponytail swishing from side to side. He turned the knob and pushed the door open as he closed his eyes and let out a deep sigh.

"I'm sooooooo tired," Faust mumbled to himself as he walked towards his bedroom. He had already eaten dinner with Ms. Nightshade and was ready for bed. "I can't wait to get a good night's sleep!" A very loud yawn escaped his mouth with those words. Faust slipped off his shoes outside the door that lead to his room and went inside, but he stopped half way as a look of bewilderment grew on his face.

Sitting on his bed was a strange, black orb that had a faint red glow coming from inside of it. Faust shook his head to try to rid his vision of what he thought was a blur.

"Ugh! Maybe a shower will help me relax." He said after the orb was still over his bed, and made his way over to a dresser to grab a change of clothes. Before heading out the door of his bedroom and going into the bathroom Faust took one last at his bed to make sure the orb hadn't disappeared and sure enough it was still there. He let out a low sigh as he turned back around and walked to the bathroom.

Sometime later after a hot relaxing shower Faust came back to his room with a towel on his head as he dried his hair. He looked out from the towel to see if the orb was on his bed, and it seemed to have disappeared for the time being. Sitting down on his bed Faust pulled out a small journal that he had recently bought from a drawer in his bed side table, and began writing its first entry. Once finished writing Faust put the journal away, turned his lamp off, and got under a blanket. Soon, he was fast asleep resting for another day of work.

Faust's Journal 1

Let's see. Well, this is the first entry I've decided to write in this journal. It's also the first journal I've had since coming into Eri's employment as the gardener of her estate. I've had a long day of work today trimming the hedges maze, I got lost quite a few times, I really should learn all the shortcuts to that place...and when I was watering the roses I kept tripping and I could have sworn that most of the time I tripped over a root or vine, but when I took a look at the ground nothing was there. I think the roses are out to get me or something...

Anyway, the real subject of this entry is something I found when I returned home. There was a small...orb. Yeah, that seems to fit what this thing appeared to be. It was black and grey with a faint red glow coming from the inside of it. I thing it was just a trick of my vision, because I went to take a shower and when I returned...well, it had disappeared.

Perhaps I'm right in thinking it was just a blur in my line of sight, but from some things I've seen around the Manor, I could be wrong. I'm so tired right so, I'm off to sleep now.
