The black lioness had explored and explored till her brain was as bored as it could be and her paws wishing for something more interesting to do then just walking!
"Adi? Adi?" She called as she walked. It was early and she was well aware some would still be sleeping but the lands were large and she doubted that there would be a chance that anyone was going to be near by.
"Adi where are you???" She was shouting loudly now and in an annoying whining voice. She was really bored and she was acting like a small bored cub which probably made her the least desirable company right now.
"Where is he?" She jumped up onto a rock and sat down, looking around a little. Maybe he was still sleeping? Well she would just have to track him down and wake him up if he didn't appear soon. Why was life so boring? She needed something more interesting!

Swayed gently by the breathing of her once small ward, Nili nestled comfortably in his thick mane. Her peaceful slumber was interrupted by a voice carrying on the breeze. It was certainly a little grating and she was surprised that Adi'sa hadn't woken up to it yet.
Ruffled and unable to get back to sleep now, she wriggled her way out of her temporary nest and fluttered over to a little rock on the floor of the den. She stretched her wings, and smiled and chattered merrily with that 'first waking' feeling.Adi'sa began to stir and opened his eyes, only to close them again promptly, smiling and obviously returning to a nice dream. Since finding Nili, it felt as though she had brought all manner of good things with her. Nili glanced over at her lion. He was beginning to wake, and since he took so long to actually get up in the morning, she took herself off outside the den, greeted by Tailsin's calls. One could only ignore it for so long, so she followed it.
She had to admit, it brought a smile to her beak to see a lovely young lioness calling for her lion. He was popular it seemed. Nili twittered a bit as she landed on a branch above Tailsin, watching the lioness for a short while before floating down to actually land on the girl's head!

Tailsin was starting to get a little annoyed and then a bird landed on her head!
"Hey what do you want?" She moaned a little trying to look up at the bird. Why was it sitting on her head? She was getting more annoyed but she tried to be patient. After all at least she was able to talk to someone even if it was a small bird.
"You don't happen to know Adi do you? I really want to find him!" She gave up trying to look up. It was a waste of time. She couldn't see something that was on top of her head, it was impossible! Damn bird.

"No need to be so grumpy, love," she chirped at Tailsin, and happily removed herself from the lioness' head, perching on the rock in front instead.
"Annnd I might do. Why you looking for him?" she asked, always smiling. She was curious, and acted more like an inquisitive mother.

"I'm bored not grumpy!" She was acting like a spoilt brat but for Tailsin this was just normal so she didn't really care too much. However when the bird said that she possibly knew Adi the black lioness was suddenly very interested.
"Who are you?" She looked the small bird up and down before deciding she could tell her why she wanted Adi.
"I want Adi because its time for his play lesson. He is really uptight you see and I have to try and make him less uptight so that he can be a normal lion! So do you know where he is or not?" She made something up, though it was true he did need to lighten up!

Nili actually began to think Tailsin might EAT her if she felt so inclined. Or begin to bat her around for sport. As such, she kept hopping about a little bit.
"My name is Nili," she said, taking a sort of bow. She didn't reveal yet who she was in relation to Adi, she wanted to weigh this lioness up from the standpoint of stranger.
Meanwhile, Adi lay in his den a while longer, now awake but still lazily wriggling and stretching, enjoying that feeling. And then suddenly, he bolted up onto his paws and looked at the floor in despair.
HE'D JUST ROLLED ONTO NILI!
He desperately scanned the ground and finding no trace of the blue bird, he sighed in relief. Of course, now he'd never relax again this morning. So, he gave one last stretch and yawn, bellowing out a long, low roar. Shaking his mane briskly, he left the den in search of a drink, something to eat, and his newest companion.
Her next utterance was interrupted by Adi's yawn-roar.
"Well, there he is," she laughed. "I'd know that roar anywhere. He was asleep in his den, I'm sure he'll find his way here eventually."

Tailsin watched the bird flutter about. It was a little strange.
"Ok fine, Nili, who are you really? How does a bird as small as you knoq Adi? It's something to do with that strange power thing he has isn't it?" She didn't know much about it but she knew it was something important.
She heard Adi's roar as well and knew what it was but the strange and most annoying thing was that the bird did too! Why did she know he had been sleeping? Why did she know so much? Tailsin was starting to be somewhat annoyed and maybr even a little jealous!

"Calm down, I'm only a whee thing. So many questions at once, oh my," she chattered and chose to perch back on a branch above Tailsin again.
Adi had a routine every morning. Straight to the stream to drink and have a quick wash. Stop by his 'quiet spot' for a moment of reflection, a moment to silence his thoughts and simply listen. It was something the elder Tawa'di had recommended to hone his nvwati skills, but, as always, Adi had taken it too much to heart. Tawa'di simply meant it as an exercise to do every now and then, not everyday.
Then it was hunting time. He had to walk back past his den, and noticed his blue friend had not returned. He pouted a moment, and then trusted that she would find him eventually.
And sure enough, he did. A short distance away, he saw a familiar face - Tailsin!
"I'm simply a friend of Adi'sa's. And size has nothing to do with it either. I could say 'how does a lioness as big as you know Adi'sa?' But I won't," she chirped. She was in an argumentative mood.

Tailsin just stared at the bird. "Difference is your food." She hissed before bounding over to her friend.
"Adi! I'm booooored!" she moaned as she pounced at him. She wanted to play which wasn't really unusual but most of all she wanted to make sure that she had his attention and not that annoying bird. Though the bird would make a tasty meal.....
"What have you been upto? I been looking for you for aaaaaaages and why is this place so dead? It's just boring." Must keep talking, even if its just rambles. She wanted that bird gone, why should a bird have Adi's attention? Stupid bird.

Adi knew Tailsin almost too well, and braced himself for her approach so that when she launched herself into a pounce, he at least wouldn't be knocked over this time.
"I've been...sleeping...?" he chuckled at her. "And its boring because its morning. Even I'll admit that there's nothing to do so early in the day."
He playfully reacted to her presence, nudging her and trying to fight her off after the pounce.
Nili look disgusted that Tailsin should speak in such a manner and then bound off. She fluffed herself up and looked very indignant as she saw the two playfully greet each other. And so, she took to the air and found an opportunity to land gracefully on Adi's head.
Adi felt his avian friend land on his head.
"Oh there you are," he tried to look upwards. "I see you've met Tailsin."

Tailsin just smiled and was trying to bat at him with her paws. However when the bird landed on his head she couldn't help but send her a dirty look which she quickly wiped from her face. It was hard to hide jealousy, it was a feeling she hadn't known before. It was strange.
She didn't say anything but just laid down by him, not wanting to interrupt them though wishing she could swallow the bird whole. Why were they even friends it made no sense at all! She was getting close to sulking and though it was in her childish nature to do so, Tailsin not being playful was without doubt a very strange sight!

Tailsin's sudden change in behaviour and general attitude didn't go un-noticed and Adi'sa frowned.
"Well, whats up with you? Normally, I have to brace myself for a wrestling match or a water fight or hide and seek. You okay?" he asked her, leaning toward her. "We can go somewhere to play if thats whats bothering you..."
He tried to suggest, a little dense to the finer workings of a female's emotions. Nili sort of smirked atop the lions head, mildly amused at the young female's attitude. She stayed put.

Tailsin looked up at Adi and then the evil bird who she was going to hate forever more. "Is she always going to be around?" The question was aimed at Adi as if the little bird wasn't even there. She wasn't trying to hide her annoyance at all, there was little point in doing so.
She looked away from him, her head on her paws. Oh she wasn't happy, not at all. Stupid bird ruining her fun.

Adi looked up at his little friend, rather confused. He supposed she wouldn't always be around...Nili had her own life too.
"Umm...well I don't know. She likes to look after me, so she might be around quite a bit, but she as her own life too. Like she can't possibly catch her food from my head," he chuckled in a boyish way. It was a little cruel to say Nili was kind of enjoying this, but she had the maturity of age on her side. She didn't feel too guilty because she wasn't after Adi's attentions the same way this female was.
Regardless, Nili felt it was time she gave the lioness a break.
"Fine, I get the hint. My ward is right, food doesn't catch itself," she said as she quickly stretched her wings and cleaned a few feathers to ready them for flight. With, what appeared to be, a little birdy kiss to Adi's head Nili departed. Adi shook his great big head and mane after Nili had gone, smiling as the bird left.
"So, how come you're up so early?" he tried to continue, as if nothing had happened.

Tailsin was about to moan somewhat about the bird and how evil she was but got the idea that Adi probably wouldn't be too happy with her moaning so she allowed him to change the subject just glad that annoying bird had gone already.
"I was bored, I couldn't sleep." She wasn't going to go into why she couldn't sleep and the fact that she was feeling somewhat lonely now and missing her family. Things weren't as she expected them to be when she got home. She wouldn't admit it though, look unhappy in front of Adi? That wasn't allowed.
