I think the couple needs to be both elders. Then you can throw a party and there should be a "Throw Golden Anniversary" option. smile

The option on the phone may only show up as Throw... Anniversary. I don't think its so specific as golden anniversary. I may be wrong though.

acum esti acasa... nu ai unde sa pleci

Well, if you create a new family and the adults have been married since they grew up and became adults, you can usually do it before they grow into an elder.
But if they were like, married halfway, then you'll have to wait.

You'll know whenever you click on the phone and you get the option "Throw... Anniversary".

It works, even though it's not specified to being the 'Golden Anniversary'.

I feel nerdy.

I read somewhere that if one of the sims (the husband or the wife) cheat on one of them, and gets caught by the other, the option for annivarsery won't show up.

Some say its like that, but I had the wife in my legacy family cheat on her husband, and he caught her doing it too, but they still had the option to throw the anniversary party. So I don't know if its really true.

I'm hoping so, because I typically don't let my sims age. And what about vampires? They should have anniversaries, too.

I'm pretty sure that vampires can have the same option whenever it is their time to do so.
They're still sims after all.
Same with plant sims and werewolves.

Hm, I'll have to test that out someday.

But the Golden Anniversary works like this:

Your sims should get married in their early days of being an adult, that way you don't have to worry about them dying.
Don't let your sims grow up? No problem!
You should still be able to see the option on the telephone: "Throw Party... Anniversary Party".
:]

Hope this helped.
If not, just PM me and I'll try to explain it further.
